We are excited to welcome David Ol as a new DJ and producer to OPID Records. He brings with him two Deep House tracks that combine emotional depth with danceable beats. "Before the Night," the first track, is another testament to his musical maturity and creativity. The track captures the essence of Deep House with atmospheric soundscapes, hypnotic basslines, a melody that transports listeners to another dimension, and vocals that elevate the track even further. The second track, "Nimbosity," presents a minimalist form of Deep House. Both tracks are incredibly inviting for chilling out.

David Otero, known professionally as David Ol, was born in 1991 in Santiago de Compostela, where he currently resides. With over 15 years of experience in the music industry, David has built a remarkable career as a DJ and electronic music producer. From a young age, David was drawn to music, particularly electronic music. He began his musical journey at the age of 14, experimenting with virtual programs like Virtual DJ and small MIDI controllers. Over time, he acquired his first professional equipment, including turntables and a mixing console, dedicating countless hours to perfecting his craft.
David's musical evolution has spanned a wide range of styles. Initially, he was interested in minimal, tech house, and deep house before exploring techno. Currently, his focus is on deep house, a genre that allows him to express his creativity and connect deeply with his audience.Throughout his career, David Ol has shared the stage with renowned national and international artists within the vibrant Galician nightlife scene. His dedication and passion for music are evident in every performance and production.
Looking ahead, David Ol is focused on enjoying the process of making music to the fullest, without grand aspirations but with a firm commitment to continue growing and evolving as an artist. His dedication to music and his ability to adapt to different styles ensure that he will remain an influential figure in the electronic music scene.

Partial PR: The 45th release on microCastle welcomes Navar & Mononoid to the label for the debut of their collaborative project. Dutch artist Navar returns to the Canadian imprint following his 'Moments In Life EP' from November of 2014. As one of the underground's most creative talents Navar has shaped a sound all his own, full of soulful qualities and organic design. Appearances on Guy J's Lost & Found Records coupled with a sparse release schedule has only made the love for his sound stronger. Meanwhile Mononoid, also hailing from the Netherlands are making their much anticipated label debut. First conceptualized in 2011, Andy Godderis and Igor Shumlyanskiy make up the Mononoid production duo. A string of releases on Traum got their career off to a great start and their modern take on techno has since been showcased by Einmusika, Lost & Found and Sisyphon. Much like Navar, Mononoid has been praised for their creative vision and the fusion of these three intuitive minds was a project that had to be put into motion. Some winter months locked away in the studio has resulted in the much anticipated three track EP entitled 'Dreambox', alongside a remix from YokoO of Musik Gewinnt Freunde and All Day I Dream.

The release begins with 'Ad Litem', which finds the trio crafting a tough yet soulful techno creation. Led by a mystical motif and broken percussion, it's rugged grooves and mysterious atmospheres take you on a thought provoking journey. There's a magical ending to the subversive moods and one which is worth exploring many times over; in the words of the guys "Ad Litem was a cosmic attraction between all of us, a unique energy stream with spiritual undertones, but for all of its energies there was something very profound waiting at the end; it was our carnival train ride to the guardians of Ad Litem."

After the global success of their first EP of 2016, ‘On’, including remixes by Techno legend Paco Osuna and Chloé, Monkey Safari is the name on everyone’s lips, and summer lineups. Now they’re out with their follow-up EP entitled ‘Bernstein’ with two original tracks and remixes by none other than John Digweed & Nick Muir as well as Spanish DJ and producer UNER. This release showcases the German brothers’ darker side, combining deep trance-like rhythms with resonant sounds. At the same time, the release pulls you in with dreamy, head-in-the-clouds melodies, perfect for both sunrise and deep club sets alike.  

This release demonstrates Sven and Lars’ move into the limitless domain of the “experimental” since the launch of their new label ‘Hommage.’ As their career grows and transforms, it becomes more and more clear that they have found a medium in which to display their differing genre preferences and production styles. Monkey Safari is demanding the attention of industry heavyweights as evident by their 2015 collaborations with artists like Guy Gerber, Kölsch, Marc Houle, Wolf + Lamb, Josh Wink, as well as one of dance music’s most iconic producers, Moby. In 2016 the evidence of Monkey Safari’s growing allure is made clear by the two otherworldly remixes released on the ‘Bernstein’ EP. John Digweed & Nick Muir’s remix of ‘Plexus,’ brings in a more soulful, synthy take on the original. In UNER’s remix of ‘Bernstein,’ the Spanish producer’s musical training radiates through, making it a sure-fire hit this summer.
