'allo 'allo guv'na. i'm convinced that word nerds and audible folks have a considerable overlap in interests.

This is why, generally speaking, I *slightly* prefer Gerald Donald's output over Drexciya & Stinson's solo stuff. There is a clinical coldness to Arpanet, Japanese Telecom, Der Zyklus, Dopplereffekt, Zwischenwelt, etc. that appeals to me, even when it's more experimental (Biometry or Calabi Yau Space, for example). In the years since Drexciya, he's kind of mastered these hocketing micro melodies that are simultaneously simple and complex, where all the parts function together perfectly like an engine. As much as I do love Drexciya and The Other People Place, they don't activate the ol' serotonin receptors in my brain like Donald's stuff.
