Life In The Jizz Lane

For 2020 I decided to release a new song every month. I was going to start with a different one, but inspiration struck on January 4th and I began to write this song. I then thought: wouldn't it be cool to write, record and release a song all in one month - easily being the quickest turnaround from inception to completion of any song I've ever written or recorded. 

The song is loosely based on a new found love I have for surfing, but how metaphorically surfing has a lot of lessons that relate to life; I am obsessed with the energy surfers have (particularly Jamie O'Brien!) and the energy I felt watching his videos spilled out into this song. 

That's why it's the perfect song to kick start of this new found wave of creativity...I just hope I can keep moving and don't wipe out...like a gnarly session at Pipe... ;-) 

I did everything you hear here; the amazing artwork is by local multi talented human being Catherine Eliza Tarrant.
