A brilliant and easy going track-really well performed. Little bits of this tickle my memory of Smashing Pumpkins and Bert Jansch.

A song dedicated to the self determined people of Ireland who bravely sailed on the Dunbrody ship to America in search of a new life, far away from famine and persecution.

We sailed from the Quay, and I heard an old man say ‘goodbye New Ross’
And I looked back at the town that I lost, and saw her fading away
They took me below, for time on the deck was for cooking a stove
The weak and the weary, the brave and the bold, set sail for the Promised Land

And a young man read a letter from a cousin in America, who was waiting there with a job for him, and he said there is plenty of work for young Irishmen, with the will, to abstain and use all their skills
