The members of Big Bad Echo are in some ways a weirdly mismatched bunch, but in others, completely suited to each other. Indeed, their unforgiving brand of slightly psychedelic, sun-bleached post-punk could only be made up of a collection of influences and ideas as diverse as the dudes themselves.
Starting as the mere songwriting outlet for frontman Mick Reddy in 2013, the infectious energy generated simply by adding more people to the equation soon proved overwhelming, and by late 2014, the band had grown into a solid 5-piece. Since then, they've been garnering a reputation as one of Brisbane's most respected live acts, playing frequent shows to freaked out, captivated audiences.
For now though, they're working on recording and playing all the time, and just being a band and doing what general bands do. Even right now, while you read this. That's what they're doing.

I like to make songs. Probably don't do it as much as I would like to/should...but I feel darn lucky every time I do.

Began writing and recording in 1995 and have run a successful recording studio since 1998. Currently, I'm focusing on mixing. Moving image and photos are a great influence during the mixing stage. I prefer this over audible references, as this usually distracts one from the true feeling and story behind a song. Unique is best.

Lita and The Bones – coupled by front woman and Fijian born Selita Laubuka (Lita) and American born Jason Czapla (aka Thunderstorm) - first united as a song-writing duo in 2009. Since then they have explored their musical creativeness through life’s journeys and their passion for storytelling.

Based in Brisbane Australia and having performed at numerous local venues and art focused events, the duo are now accompanied by drummer Jeff Paton (aka Eagle Mountain) and bassist Michael Cullen (aka Volcano Boulder), broadening their soundscape.

Surrounded by beautifully laid, atmospheric harmonies, this band will leave you feeling warm and eerily intrigued. With two EP’s under their belt, Lita and Bones will have their folk influenced sounds resonating through future festivals and venues with their dynamic and soulful live performances.
