Mathieu Lacroix is a French-Canadian composer working in Norway. His music is performed in many countries on three continents and several festival. He is artistic co-director of Electroacoustic Trondheim (EA -T). He is also a member of the Electric Audio Unit with Natasha Barrett and Ernst van der Loo. In 2021 he completed a PhD thesis on synchronization strategies in mixed music. His music aims to make electronics and acoustic performers react to each other and interpret music together as a living ecosystem. His inspirations come from nature, literature, languages, and many types of music, from contemporary to extreme metal and avant-prog. He also plays bass and Chapman Stick, and works as a producer and sound engineer. He is currently a guest lecturer at various universities and has an associate professorship in composition and music production at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences.
