Follow Me Up to Carlow tells the story of several characters and events around the lates 1500's. The main story is about the Battle of Glenmalure in 1580, where an English army of 3,000 was defeated by a band of Irish rebels led by Fiach McHugh O'Byrne.

Although the song is rather vicious in terms of the lyrics, its sentiment of fighting against oppression and authority is as relevant today as when the events took place. So we wanted to give it a modern, up-tempo and aggressive feel to reflect the frustrations people across the world currently feel towards government.
