In my composition 'Life Happens' I express the trails of life and how things are out of our control. In this cinematic composition, I attempt to create a dramatic climax. During the climax I am using a non-diatonic V lydian chord to create suspense. When the scene comes to an end, I return to the diatonic two chord progression. This interpretion was meant to be slow and melodic, and the use of an odd time signature was used as an aid.
