it is about class division how the rich and the poor have to share the same citys and the same planet  how we conquer and divide.
Its also a song about our fears and anxietys about love and how we interact with other humans.

Our "Disco Blues" take you back to a sultry club in the 70s. We mixed 70s disco beats with blues rock, creating a new genre. The song deals with an ominous relationship between two people in a disco bar. We started with a 12 bar blues progression and added plenty of instruments and licks. Let's get funky!

There are many reasons why I could, one year later I'm posting this again. A very painful breakup. I am in great pain. This song hits hard. This is dedicated the most beautiful, caring, generous Yvane, who lost her brother to a likely suicide. She never got over his death. Yvane, I miss you, you were my friend, my cousin and an exceptional mother, leaving two remarquable children in grief. She couldn't make "the suffering" -  the secret haunting monster in her head, go away.

SUICIDE NOTE

Hey, glad you dropped by. The New Year is upon us. I wish you a happy year ahead. Yet wishes are as fickle as hopes and dreams, which often conjure up nothing more than a brief feel good moment. I hear people nearby celebrating, as if nothing is wrong in their world, while others are fighting for their very lives, at war, or surviving as best they can in extreme and difficult situations. Those disparities has always haunted me… All I need to do is reflect back to see my own trajectory, much like a shooting star burning through the night sky. So what will the new year bring? This will be my 67th new year, so as you might have guessed, I am somewhat jaded when it comes to the anticipation of living in a better world. What I do have is this simple notion that all of us are moving through time together. In a very real sense, we are time travelers. And yet as time leaps forward, say in a hundred years from now, nearly everyone alive in this moment will have ended their journey, save for a few centenarians. Those tough souls will linger on. Don’t get me wrong, I love my life for what it is, but also realize the its fragility. Maybe these maudlin thoughts have influenced this first song of the new year, maybe not. This song is a loosely woven lyrical tapestry of traveling, living in the moment, having a home, lost love, and stargazing. These days, I am not much of a traveler, as far as geography goes. I haven’t been out of the county here for quite some time. Some find that shocking. Others find it sad. I find it to be wonderfully grounding. There are places I’d like to go, but I find I can be wowed by the world right here in the now. In a sense, my daydreams of traveling contain a timeless place. Yet, places do change over time. I did not grow up in this place, and have struggled to make it my home. When I do venture out, I often find the last leg of the journey back home to be the most difficult. It is as if the journey to one place ends, and another journey back begins, even though in essence, it is the same journey. And no matter where I go, I always look up at the stars. They remind me of the places I have been, and the people I have known. Some have left an indelible mark on me. I sometimes want to travel back to see them, but then realize the improbabilities of doing so. Like places, those circumstances have changed. It is then, I take a deep breath, or sometimes sigh, and head back inside my home. Mark
