" Ya know, it's always been a massive honor to be asked to play the show, and because it feels that way, the show always seems to get the best out of me!  With this being my 5th installment for the show I consider it my Alumni mix now graduating from the previous 4 I produced over the last 4yrs.  During the course of the mix I imagined myself cruising somewhere down the west coast along the water with the top down just before sunset. Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.
