"One" is the only Aquaphonics tune I sing lead vocal on...  I love to sing, but having to play 3 keyboards at once, all while playing bass on a keyboard with my left hand, makes singing a bit difficult!  This song has a more Pop, Radio Friendly kind of feel to it.  We still kept our JamBand-esque kind of sound, while sticking to a more quick and to the point pop format! This is a new one for us... we tried out some southern fried rock.  Kae wrote some awesome lyrics about busking on the streets of new orleans, and making the best of life on the road... This is Neural Synapse' latest song, with lyrics written and arranged by our beautiful Kae, and the music written and arranged by yours truly.  This song embodies travel, a life journey together, falling in love, and might even be a story about the two of us...  who knows? This was an attempt at making a "speed song"...  I wrote, EQ'ed, and mastered this song in 1hr and 20min.  It is a bit of a take from a few genres, including some Rush, and Emerson Lake and Palmer... From The Hourglass Out

This is a song Kae and I created for a gentleman to use for one of his videos where he does vape tricks.  It has multiple genres, including trap, house, and techno...  I used mostly a Korg Micro Moog, and a drum machine that I played live, and even recorded myself using wrenches and pliers to get that industrial sounding rhythm track. This song was written and arranged by our very own K-Bellz!  She also sang all the lyrics, and made sure I did my job engineering...
You will find the heavy drum beat and slap bass irresistible, while the guitar riffs nicely frame out the bass lines.  Overall, this song is very different than most that we do, and I had fun playing the instrumental parts, as well as watching and listening to K-Bellz do her thing on the vocals!  She rocks! Neural Synapse is a collaboration between KBellz Roswell and myself, Alan Martinke.  We have been creating on and off for the last 3.5yrs, although more recently we've gotten away from playing live shows, and concentrated more on the studio aspect.  All our songs are written by us, with no help, and are all recorded right here.  We spend alot of time coming up with just the right formats, sound scapes, patches and so on....  Neural Synapse's music is a wide range between funk, to down tempo, with hints of jazz and blues thrown in.  Sometimes we get completely free style and just improvise, which can lead to some of the best tunes out there!!! I enjoyed playing the role of both Bass player and lead keyboards, B3, Rhodes, and Synth parts.
