Mr Squires is a DJ, music curator, and storyteller through sound. He first gained recognition at Kerfuffle Cambodia, an underground jungle party, where his sunrise sets and melodic house and techno became a staple of the event.

He curates two podcast series: Techno for Breakfast, featuring house and techno made for the mornings and The Slowpoke Sessions, a downtempo exploration of multicultural sounds. He is also the creator of @LifeOrganic, a music brand and radio platform that blends music, wellness, and nature into immersive storytelling experiences. VVerses is a collaborative project from the co-founders of London-based label Chapter 24, Más Black and Sam Pauli. 

As the label manager, Marcus (Más) works tirelessly behind the scenes to move the label forward and to provide a platform for Chapter 24’s artists. As a selector, he draws from a wide range of musical influences, constantly seeking out irresistible grooves that tell a compelling story.

Inspired by a blend of influences on and off the dancefloor, Sam’s passion is in pushing forward a new wave of deep, emotive and melodic storytelling house and techno in the UK and beyond.

Together, they have produced a series of special edits of releases from the label as well as classic tracks including, most recently, their Fire In The Disco Edit of Let’s Dance by David Bowie. They are also the resident DJs at label showcases, performing in London, Amsterdam and Edinburgh and at festivals in the UK and further afield, including AfrikaBurn and Snowbombing. 

A strong work ethic, a clear sonic vision and a commitment to releasing meaningful music with heart and soul above all else has led to Chapter 24 becoming one of the most exciting new labels on the underground scene in recent years.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

About Gareth:
Digital creative type, gamer, music lover and occasional DJ. Currently living between Dubai & Seoul after setting sail from Sunderland in 2010. As a young designer, club and music culture was the driving force for his work, producing artwork for local club nights and record labels in the North East of England. In particular, DJ mix cds and their packaging were always his 'holy grail of design', especially those from Renaissance, Global Underground and Good Looking Records. It's a pleasure to share these discs back with people and they still influence our tastes to this day.
