I recorded "On my own" in the first studio session for my debut EP "Don't Believe the Tide". It was a freezing February back then and unfortunately I brought a cold with me and other tracks later replaced this one, so it didn't make it on the record...

Nevertheless I still love this version, perhaps in spite of or actually due to it being far from perfect. It's a song about looking around and feeling a bit too frightened by the encircling dangers of this world, and, coupled with this a fear that accompanies your every step. It's a song about worries and hope and beyond that about cranes, those majestic animals who alway find their way home.

Having released their latest album, FLOTUS, in November to critical acclaim including 'Albums of the Year' mentions in publications such as MOJO, Uncut, The Guardian and The Times; Lambchop is a Band have shared their cover of Prince's iconic 'When You Were Mine', recorded by the band's new live line up featuring Wye Oak's Andy Stack.

The track continues Kurt Wagner's exploration of R&B themes on FLOTUS with an underpinning current of subtle echoes and flourishing piano lines. The many moving parts are tied together by Wagner's skewed and distorted vocals to create a beautiful and intriguing take on the much covered track that stands it in a realm of its own.

November Me is an acoustic pop duo, based in Berlin. On the grounds of canto in two voices, guitar, piano, glockenspiel and electronic miniatures, Sebastian and Eno put their thoughts about all things and episodes into songs, that give your life stability or pull the carpet under your feet. In the same way as our time being is bitter and sweet they're flooding the stage with music, sometimes whisperingly quiet and almost unpleasantly close, then furiously shouting and with embracing singalong lines.
