SONG OF THE GOAT THEATRE


Song of the Goat Theatre (Teatr Pieśń Kozła) has developed an international reputation as one of Europe’s most innovative training-based theatre companies, committed to researching what makes theatre distinctive among other art-forms. From its base in Wroclaw, Poland, the Company constantly develops its approaches and performances with the aim of unlocking theatre’s power to offer audiences a profound experience that can reaffirm their own sensitivity and humanity. Song of the Goat Theatre’s ever-evolving training, rehearsal and performance process is treated as laboratories, enabling the Company to research the craft of the actor and director and to develop new techniques, performance languages and work styles. A distinctive element of the Company’s practice is a search for connection, meeting and openness as the seeds of authentic experience. This commitment to connection denotes clear information on the development of each new training approach, which always seeks to integrate movement, voice, song, and text, creating performance that has an inherent musicality and connects with the audience on a sensory level.

Born in 1988 in Nîmes, France, Guillaume Cazalet (CZLT) grew up in Camargue. He now lives and works in Brussels as a musician, composer, painter, sound installer, graphic designer, producer and label director of HOMO SENSIBILIS SOUNDS. He composes music for NEPTUNIAN MAXIMALISM (NNMM) ; CZLT ; ÔROS KAÙ ; SOL KIA ; ZAÄAR ; JENNY TORSE ; AKSU. His former bands are VORAX VIROSUS ; BONEPIPE and SIAMESE QUEENS.

Consequently, CZLT has dug deep into the devoted works of Indian music of classical masters, such as Ustad Imrat Khan, Ustad Irshad Khan, Ustad Asad Ali Khan, Kaushiki, Chakraborty, Shubha Mudgal, Pandit Mallikarjun Mansur, Kushal Das, Parveen Sultana, Ustad Nishat Khan, Ustad Saami and Smt Kishori Amonkar.

He got graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels (ARBA-ESA) in the Art & Public Space (AEsP) section, and is also graduated from the ISASF La Cambre Architecture, in Art and Landscape section. He has been learning music since he was 6 years old in music school, coming from brass band and afro-cubean teaching before falling into metal genres, then into experimental and free jazz musics and now into traditional & classical ethnic musics like Indian classical or Indonesian gamelan music.

He also worked with contemporary artists Felix Luke & Iñigo Bilbao, Eugène Robinson (Oxbow), Koonda Holaa, Sebastien Lacomblez and EOR. He released his music on I,Voidhanger Records, Ascetic Visions, VW Sorcerer Productions, Aurora Borealis, Paradigm Recordings, Epictural Productions, Base Records, Volok Records and he runs his own label HOMO SENSIBILIS SOUNDS.

In his work, from his deep reflexions on the future of our species and living on Earth, he tries to create a sense of acceptance of the end of the "Anthropocene" era through a musical and soteriological experience.

The diverse sounds of Orryelle with various collaborators. 
 With the primary instruments of violin and voice (inc. harmonic overtones & undertones), Orryelle has experimented over the years alone and with many different musicians, using also unusual electronica, percussion and other manual instruments to explore a range of sounds from neo-classical through dark ambient, carnivalesque, heavy, melodic, post-industrial, indefinable, etc. 
 Ritual aspects are usually prevalent, some music being created as accompaniment to various productions of his Metamorphic Ritual Theatre Company (see Vimeo and youtube channels).
