Presenting a live improvised performance from the Argentinian producer and multi-instrumental live looper, Janax Pacha. Spearheaded by Gabriel Epstein, the Janax Pacha project sits at the crossroads of acoustic and electronic expression, utilising instruments such as Native flutes, kalimbas, didgeridoo, percussion, and effect racks. The resulting tribal downtempo sound is inspired as much from dub and ambient music, as it is by ancestral indigenous music of Latin America, building layers upon layers of sound, and compounding numerous centuries of culture into one experience.

Selección 02 : Introspection

The Apukuna Breath Medicine series of mixes is a gift in support of personal healing, transformation and growth. Our breath is the most readily accessible medicine available to us. There are many ways to work with our breath and this series is in support of your practice. These particular breath medicine journeys are inspired by my own practice that is most similar to Holotropic Breathwork. For me, the breathing is deeper, a little faster, only through the mouth and only through the chest. Many others can find great benefit through the nose or using the belly. [mix002] - This 75-minute journey was recorded in December 2021. The journey includes Native American musicians R. Carlos Nakai (Navajo / Ute), Primeaux & Mike (Oglalla/Dakota (Yankton) Sioux and Ponca & Dine Navajo) and Joanne Shenandoah (Oneida Nation, Wolf Clan, Haudenosaunee). As this breathwork journey was coming together, Joanne Shenanodah breathed her last breath in this life on November 22, 2021. Prayers to Joanne on her journey into ancestorhood. Also included in this mix is a favorite for breathwork - Deya Dova’s Ancient Creation Mother - recorded on the edge of Kīlauea volcano crater on Hawai’i’s Big Island.

Rest your weary soul beloved one, allow yourself to let go of the business of doing and accomplishing, and let the sounds envelope you in their soft and velvety blanket of surrender. It’s time for the medicine of Winter.

Yes, it is in this spiraling downwards, this descent into slowing down and the state of being, that we face our emptiness and restlessness. It's in the darkness that the transformation takes place, where that which we surrender to, creates the soil for new evolutions to take place. 

Take heart: softness and release are never far away. Let the thoughts and feelings come and welcome them home. 

Feel the earth underneath you and trust: Winter and the void is where all guidance, all dreams, all creativity and all of life come from. 

What is your greatest prayer? How deeply can you surrender? How soft can you become? 

Allow yourself to be embraced & transformed by the sweet stillness of Winter...

Know Your Flow :: Musik to Bleed to

On the Roof of Imagination is a Sound Healing Journey that I originally created to be performed as a meditation at the end of Ecstatic Dances. This time I performed it as a meditation in itself to celebrate the Winter Solstice, Christmas, and the beginning of a new year for my good friends at Imagination Hostel in Arambol, Goa, India.

The ambiences you hear during the journey are a collection of recordings that I've gathered over the last 2 years while traveling.  Each holds the energy of a powerful place or moment.  You can hear birds at sunrise on a lake in the mountains of Canada, Argan seeds in my hands in the south of Morocco, gentle waves under the full moon from the Indian Ocean in Kerela and more.  You can also hear clips of the Sasak villagers of Lombok, Indonesia, singing and laughing, as well as parts of the traditional sunset ceremony at the Uluwatu temple in Bali.  I've blended together all of these elements to create an ambience that captures and emanates a part of what I have experienced on my journey.

Everything about this performance is completely improvised... I take in the energy of the moment and my surroundings and channel it directly into the music.

The native flute I play in the beginning and the end was handmade by friend @masterskayfleit (you can find him and his epic flutes on Instagram!)

"Unlocking the Doors of Infinity" is a mix series that I've been inspired to create for gentle yoga flows. I started practicing yoga more than 7 years ago and have become very intimate with my practice in these recent months. I love having music playing to help guide my journey inwards throughout the practice, so I've decided to release a new mix every full moon feature my favourite chill downtempo, ambient, and medicine music! The mix is 1:11:11 and was created with the intention to be a journey beginning from meditation and finishing in Shavasana.
