PJ: Tell us about this mix & where you want it to take people.
J: I want people to feel okay with their own nostalgia. Many people, obstacles and lessons have come and gone, whether they occurred this year or in the past. So long as we've learned to grow into ourselves and our personal experiences, and continue dodging the temptation of ill-will towards those that have done us wrong/dirty in the past. Forgiveness is key. This mix is centered on feelings of love, feeling secure about yourself and feeling confident in your own innate energies. This mix is about channeling your good intentions towards a purpose higher than yourself. This mix is also meant to be enjoyed on your bluetooth speaker, whether it is on sunny bike rides on lake michigan in Chicago or around Bay Ridge in New York. Blast this shit loud! :) Also fuck 12. PJ: What's GUD4U and how did it come about?
J: GUD4U promotes clarity on the dance floor along with diverse music. We want to create different dancing moods in order to craft a pure and effective house and techno sound. GUD4U is an attempt to encourage non-verbal communication on the dance floor. The concept of three DJ sets for one night is our guideline. The main thing is the quality of the music, crew, lighting as well as our partners/sponsors. But most importantly, the community in which we connect with. Most importantly, GUD4U aims to stay true to a multidisciplinary techno, house and experimental music sounds from artists of varying, yet consistent genres.
While these events will (at some point in the nebulous future) be back open to the public (or virtually), they’re here to serve a marginalized LGBTQ+/POC community. Please keep your fucking transphobia, racism, sexism, bigotry and sheer ignorance away from our Mona Lisa.

PJ: What do you miss the most about the club?
J: I miss twirling with the girls and other mutuals, spiraling when having the occasional panic attack (or molly) in the club and reveling in the primal ritual of dance. Also making out (consensually) with total strangers. so much nostalgia. :(

PJ: What's your dream verzuz battle?
J: Sade and Toni Braxton (or is it just me? probably...)
