In desperate times like these I seem to lose all pride.

Need the hope that things will change.
Days like these can be hard.
Muddled thoughts can soon derange.
Leave your heart broke and scarred.

I can't control the myriad of thoughts that show
deep in corners of my mind.
Swirling round my head they seem to ebb and flow.
No safe places left to find.

In a race I just can't win.
The fix was in from the start.
See the Fool? Soon he'll begin.
His fall is always the best part.

I can fly high above the sky.
Far from all I've ever known.
If I catch the westward winds just right,
I'll soar to where they've never blown.

Then gone, I'll go.

I hearken back to days when I was so care free. 
Long before this malady.
Tearing at your heart well that's no way to be.
Why's this my reality?

All I want's to escape this cage.
I can't open up the door.
What I'd give just to turn this page?
So I can be free evermore.

Gone, I'll Go

I began posting my music to SoundCloud in June 2021 at the age of 63.  I got my first guitar at the age of 9, and that planted the seed of musical creativity for years to come (never to be deterred by a career in an alternate industry). 

Through the years, my musical influences have ranged from rock, prog rock, jazz, fusion, pop, R&B, classical - really just about anything that moves me, especially with great guitar work!

My main goal at this stage of my life is to simply share my music with as many listeners as possible, without any other lofty goals beyond that. 

Through another service I use - CD Baby - my music is now being posted to Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, YouTube, and more .  This is a service I recommend checking out to promote your own music if you are not already aware of it.
