Mistral is a strong, cold wind that blows from France into the Mediterranean. It‘s strongest in the transition between winter and spring and it plays an important role in the climate of Provence. It represents the raw and destructive forces of nature, but at the same time it helps life to thrive.
 
Winds bring changes and affect our lives in different ways, both positive and negative.
 
The song expresses the feeling of waking up from a difficult period into a more gentle one, as if the negative things had been blown away by the mistral wind.
 
After all, winds can bring dark stormy clouds, but they can as well take them away, revealing bright blue skies.

AMORE AMARO

My first gig with the monome norns and grid. Brought nothing with me but those two, using the Timber app. All was free form, triggered from the grid with some live tweaking, but a lot of work just done by Timber's lfo's and envelopes, to be honest.

For better or worse, the mix isn't processed at all, this is live directly from the norns. I kind of think the Timber filters sounded so good, I didn't want to do any additional processing on this.
