Mistral is a strong, cold wind that blows from France into the Mediterranean. It‘s strongest in the transition between winter and spring and it plays an important role in the climate of Provence. It represents the raw and destructive forces of nature, but at the same time it helps life to thrive.
 
Winds bring changes and affect our lives in different ways, both positive and negative.
 
The song expresses the feeling of waking up from a difficult period into a more gentle one, as if the negative things had been blown away by the mistral wind.
 
After all, winds can bring dark stormy clouds, but they can as well take them away, revealing bright blue skies.

Mistral

This track is a cinematic drama/war/fantasy piece for an imagined tragic movie scene with almost exclusively Spitfire LABS instruments.
LABS patches used: Cello Moods, Harmonic Flights, Ondes Musicales, Soft Piano, Textural Pads, Tundra Atmos, Organic Textures.
Plus I added the Sonuscore Ha-Pi Harp and some wind effects.
