In the second instalment of Between The Beats I welcome my first guest: Kendot.

Kendot is a multi-talented, very busy young man who is one half of the power duo heading up In The Lab Recordings. A unique, forward thinking label who have taken the scene by storm the past few years. Capturing the hearts and attention of many ravers and greats, the label, and Kendot are everywhere right now!

We chat the ins and outs of his dynamic with Andy (Spectra T), the origins of ITL, it's famous group chat and what it's really like to be Kenny.

Patrick ‘Dapreme’ is a drum & bass producer and DJ hailing from Innsbruck, Austria, who has quickly made a name for himself in the underground scene. His signature sound blends heavy, cutting-edge beats with deeply emotive themes, making it tough to pin him to just one subgenre. Drawing from a wide spectrum of influences, Dapreme brings a fresh and exciting energy to the D&B world.

Dapreme is no stranger to the rave scene. He’s frequently found gracing the decks at top-tier nightclubs in his area, delivering high-energy sets that leave crowds buzzing, often sharing the stage with major DnB names.

In late 2024, Dapreme hit a major milestone with a premiere on UKF, further cementing his position in the international scene. His dynamic presence has already attracted drum & bass enthusiasts both at home and abroad. In addition to his rising profile, Dapreme is closely working with Phase Records DNB and many other labels, further expanding his reach. With a growing arsenal of unreleased dubplates and upcoming tracks, he’s definitely one to keep on your radar.

This is the page for Jacki-E and her own original tracks and mixes. Together with her partner P-Mac, she has two weekly radio shows, A Darker Wave, which streams every Saturday on NLive Radio, Circl8 Radio & Echo Radio, playing the best in underground techno, tech house and deep house; & Draw The Line Radio Show every Friday on Echo Radio and every Saturday on Circl8 Radio featuring the best music by female & gender minority DJs and Producers.
Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.
Jacki-E & P-Mac write and publish their own original tracks and re-mixes, play DJ sets in clubs, at private parties and for radio shows and podcasts .

Airbender is a North London based DJ, singer, and aspiring producer known for her unique drum and bass style. She draws upon elements of minimal, liquid, jungle and neurofunk to curate some of the darkest and heaviest sets in the scene. 

As a vocalist and songwriter she gained recognition for her work on tracks like Megamikes’ Je Ne Sais Pas and has since made a name for herself performing at top venues including XOYO, Boxpark Shoreditch, and Corsica Studios. She has gone on to support leading DNB acts such as AMC, Mozey, Mandidextrous, Benny L, and London Elektricity.

Beyond the club circuit, Airbender holds a residency on Dalston Radio with The Desert Sessions showcasing underground sounds and rising DNB talent. She also runs Connectshun, a community-focused soundsystem and events collective dedicated to supporting the next generation of artists. 

With her relentless work ethic and deep-rooted passion for the scene, Airbender is quickly becoming a notable figure in London’s underground culture.

DJ, producer, label owner and primary school teacher. Is there anything Gifta doesn’t do? A true powerhouse both on and off the decks, she’s known for her dynamic energy and innovative approach to Drum & Bass. 

Inspired by the underground, her production fuses rolling drum patterns with minimal jump-up influences while her DJ sets are described as unapologetic and relentless. Few can match the fire she brings her style, selection and passion.

She also founded Phase Records DNB, a label celebrated for pushing the values of Drum & Bass and dedicated to championing the sounds she loves. Phase is recognised as a vibrant hub for fresh, boundary-pushing music and is a home not just for her core artists but also for established names.

Her work is not just for her own imprint. Her tunes can also be found on the likes of DeVice, Tres-2b and Trust Audio and frequently collaborates with Hopsital Records and Overview. 
With endless drive and an unmistakable presence, Gifta is carving out her place as a formidable force in the global D&B scene.

Wilkz is a drum and bass dj and budding producer based in Oxford. Currently a resident artist at Phase Records DNB, his style and tastes follow the imprint of the label he is part of. His sound is dark, techy and gritty. 

Having gained respect as a talented and unique DJ, he is now focused on learning production and is looking forward to eventually being able to add his own personal dubs to his sets and mixes.

Artillery is a DJ and Producer from Oxford who likes to explore the darker sounds of a variety of different genres. Currently, his main focus is Drum and Bass but he is also producing 140 and trap. He leans towards the more minimal sounds and is heavily inspired by a wide range of different influences. From gothic artwork and old school horror movies to modern Hip Hop and dnb labels such as Metalheadz… Artillery brings a fusion of all that inspires him into his craft. He has already worked with the likes of Deeper DNB and is a well loved resident at Phase Records DNB.

Hailing from Oxford, budding DJ/Producer Charis is making her mark on the drum and bass scene. Having graduated from the EQ50 mentorship in 2024, where she worked closely with renowned D&B imprint Shogun Audio, she has taken honing her sound in her stride.
Existing across the sonics of minimal and the more soulful side of the drum and bass spectrum, Charis creates emotive music which tells a story. With releases on the likes of Incurzion, Phase Records DNB, Intersteller and Dropjaw Audio; her name is fast becoming recognised as being one to watch when it comes to up and talent. 
With sets up and down the UK, plenty of forthcoming music on the way and her residency as one of Phase Records DNB core producers – there is no limit to her potential and trajectory.
