Chao Heng [Abeno Nakamaro](698〜770)

Chao Heng is the Chinese name of Abeno Nakamaro.

In 717, at the age of 19, Abeno Nakamaro traveled to Tang China with Makibi Kibi and others as a member of the envoy to the Tang Dynasty in order to introduce advanced Tang culture to Japan.

Abeno Nakamaro passed the imperial examination in Chang'an. He served Emperor Xuanzong as an official in the Tang Dynasty. He also interacted with poets such as Li Bai and Wang Wei.

Thirty-six years later, in 753, Abeno Nakamaro was allowed to return to Japan.

However, the ship was wrecked by a typhoon.
, washed ashore in modern-day Vietnam.
He returned to Chang'an via Vietnam, where he ended his life of 73 years.

He never set foot on Japanese soil again.

晁衡　[阿倍仲麻呂](698〜770)

晁衡是安倍仲麻吕的中文名。

717年，19岁的阿倍仲麻吕作为遣唐使者与牧备吉备等人一起前往唐中国，向日本介绍先进的唐文化。

阿倍仲麻吕在长安考中科举。曾在唐玄宗任职为官。他还与李白、王维等诗人交往。

三十六年后的753年，阿部仲麻吕被允许返回日本。

然而，这艘船被台风毁坏了。
，被冲上现代越南的岸边。
他经越南回到长安，结束了73岁的生命。

他再也没有踏上日本的土地。

Philleann (pronouced PHILLY-ENN) is a mash up of my name Phil and one of the instruments I play, the Uilleann Pipes.  I also play the Whistle and Accordion.

I'm a Brit now residing in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I'm also a member of Bellow Bridge a traditional celtic folk band.
