Sounds like Talking Heads doing a reggae song. This faux-reggae groove is funky, there's a catchy chorus and the lyrics are an honest portrayal of the value of money in society. The melancholic composition manifested as a band jam as all three members complimented their own financial issues in life.

The B side 'Drum 'N' Nass For Lions is an instrumental the band recorded one day.

Up all night, quiet for a while. I know you're tired, but open up your eyes. The room starts to spin. Can't remember why I can't understand. I can't understand but I will try. It was out of my control, still I can't be sure if I'll ever be all right.

You can run away, but what's that going to change? You carry the same weight any other place. You've been acting strange, and everyone's the same. They try and understand, but never comprehend or even find out why it was out of your control, but still you can't be sure if you'll ever be all right.

Best Friend - Sure

Solaris was written entirely as a response to a dream journal. We wanted things to shift erratically at carefully planned points, whilst still maintaining a natural flow, much in the way a dream makes little logical sense but the temporal feeling created is easily understood at the time the dream occurs, The lyrics shift from past to present to future tense in a matter of a few words, continually playing with the idea of conscious and subconscious interaction. Secrets is the new single from Pink Noise Generator. Secrets is 80’s funk merged with grunge. The verse and intro groove came out of a playing mistake and created the basis for the song. The lyrical concept is the power and confidence knowing someone else's secret can bring. It was produced by the band and mastered by Chris Lambert of dOxbOx Studios.
