Starting as a label that served basically as a platform for their friends’ music in 2010, Uncanny Valley evolved into a record label that assembles acclaimed artists from the electronic music scene not only from the label’s base in Dresden but also from Germany and beyond. With a strong emphasis on the records’ artwork the label heads Philipp Demankowski, Conrad Kaden and Carl-Johannes Schulze are constantly on a mission to establish and refine the artists from the roster as well as to search for new talents. Artists as Jacob Korn, Cuthead, Credit 00, Massimiliano Pagliara, CVBox or Panthera Krause all feel at home on the label, giving them the chance to develop projects that are not only music related but can also integrate different art forms. With the two offshoots Rat Life and shtum under its belt, Uncanny Valley does not stand still to explore the full spectrum of electronic and not so electronic music from House via Disco, Hip-Hop or Ambient through to Techno. A range that can also be depicted when the three label heads come together for a DJ set as Uncanny Valley DJs.

Starting in the mid-nineties, there were a lot of short-lived off-locations in Dresden’s vibrant Drum’n’Bass-Scene which were perfect surroundings for those dark-mechanical tones. Carl Suspect dived deeply into this sometimes shady industrial setting. After he got from Broken Beat and Warp Electronica into Techno and especially early Kanzleramt Records, it were those parties which were groundbreaking for his own musical perception. He discovered that electronic music can only be intense, if it lets you forget about its originator, genre limits and conventions. Thus, to create this kind of listening experience is his first concern when he is playing dance music.

He’s also one of the Uncanny Valley-chiefs, managing not only the everyday work but especially the label’s visual presentation. Doing that, he always strives to realise the initial idea of the label;. to create a network for interaction between artists of different disciplines whereas it doesn’t matter if a record, a flyer or a video work will be the result of this interaction.

Nacío en Manta una ciudad de mar y arena, en Junio de 1991

Comenzando como raver en montañita desde sus inicios (2011).

A sus 22 años se mudó a montañita y conoció a personas de bastantes partes del mundo con las que pudo compartir su mundo musical y descubrir otros, su gran abanico de inspiración empieza desde muy pequeña por parte del gusto musical exquisito de sus padres con los que descubrió artistas como: Janis Joplin, The Doors, Jimmy Hendrix, Sublime, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Donovan, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Nirvana, Björk, Black Sabbath, The Cure, Queen, No doubt, Pink, ( diversas bandas de rock latino, ejp: Soda Stero, Los prisioneros, etc.) si mencionar que a medida que iba creciendo descubrió distintos géneros como el R&B admira mucho a Mariah Carey y JLo del 2000, el trap, rap, hip hop y un sin número de artistas que aún escucha.

Los artistas que utiliza para su inspiración diaria son: Tame Impala, Toro y Moi, Skinshape, Crumb, Sade entre otros.

Con el tiempo sus gustos musicales fueron evolucionando junto con su novio Luis Peralta que le enseño varios géneros de música electrónica, se fue inclinando más por el minimal, microhouse y minimal deeptech que hizo que su pasión ❤️‍🔥 por la musica🎵 se manifiesten, influenciada ahora por artistas actuales como: Andrey Pushkarev, Varhat, Janeret, Evan Baggs, Barac, Lola Palmer, Olga Korol, Oshana, Vera.
