If talent converted into record sales, David Moufang would be a very rich man. His records with partner Jonas Grossmann as Deep Space Network and his own solo releases as Move D are among the furthest outreaches of techno's push towards the stars. Moufang grew up in Heidelberg listening to his parents' collection of early Pink Floyd and Kraftwerk records but the most overwhelming influence on his childhood was outer space, the result of a trip to the cinema with his father to see 2001: A Space Odyssey. "I was space crazy as a child," Moufang told journalist Tony Marcus in 1995, "when the other kids were riding around in their little cars I'd be building my own spacecraft. I'd put in a small engine, put rubber on the wheels so it made some noise and stand there with a walkie-talkie and my headphones on. It was very techno..."

It was great digging around for some old tunes I love and putting them together with the more housier side of things I am into right now. So...I thought I would do a wee mix on that tip from the tunes I have been playing at the night. Hope you dig it x

There was a problem with the recorder that caused a second-long dropout in the left channel every 20 seconds. I did a manual fix by copying over the audio from the right channel to fill the gaps; IMO it's almost unnoticeable, unless you're listening for it. I also did a more elaborate fix that papers over those moments, BUT the mix ended up losing some dynamics and stereo separation. I prefer the one uploaded here, but if you find the glitches too distracting, you can download the other version from the link below.

Lapsus VINT 20th Anniversary Set

Four hours and 20 minutes recorded at Es Claustre, Maó, Menorca (May 30, 2025). Pulled out a lot of all-time faves. A tiny bit chagrined at putting so many "big" tracks into one set, but hey. Sometimes you just wanna hear what you wanna hear.

Diesmal hatten wir wieder Gäste im Doppelpack die vom Sound nicht unterschiedlicher hätten sein können. Da wir aber für alle Arten der elektronischen Musik ein Ohr offen haben und auf Abwechslung stehen, passte dies wunderbar.  

Im Interview ging es dann auch wieder lustig zu als wir Sven Wittekind und Max  „Rachegott“ Manzuela auseinander genommen haben. Zudem gabs wieder viel lustiges Dummgebabbel und Themen wie Kitkatclub Berlin, Coole Nachbarn, Cocoonclub closing und so weiter.

Für die nächste Ausgabe am 26. Dezember, also am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag haben wir uns noch etwas ausgedacht.  Da ja Weihnachten ist verschenken wir einen Radioauftritt mit DJ-Set bei uns in der Sendung. Wie ihr an diesen Auftritt rankommt? Being different is kind of hard these days, but ESHU is always trying to push boundaries. ESHU is a four-man live/DJ collective hailing from Nijmegen in the Netherlands and consists of Roger Gerressen, Jocelyn Abell, Daniël Lekatompessy and Ivano Tetelepta. Near the end of 2010 they decided to join forces and create a crew of likeminded music lovers. They all try to represent the sound that Nijmegen is best known for and that is the sound of the underground, DJ/live sets and productions can be found in all different aspects of Techno. With a well-received first EP (ESHU – Maan EP) the start of their own label ESHU Records at the end of 2011 has been a success since. The second EP (Various Artists – Palette EP) has just been released and slowly but gradually they’re getting more exposure. Known for their up-tempo, hypnotic techno sets and slow paced dub excursions, you can expect techno in all shapes and forms.
