I don’t just make music—I shape sound into emotions and journeys. Ambient is my calling, but I never let boundaries define me. Arpeggios, textures, and the occasional random plonk have become my signature, always guided by instinct and emotion.

I don’t chase trends, fame, or numbers. Music flows through me naturally, sometimes shaped by nature, sometimes by the cosmos, or just the everyday buzz and emotions—but always by feeling.

If my sounds resonate with others, that’s a bonus. But in the end, I create because I love it.

Hi, I’m Axel.
After a longer musical hibernation, I started making music again about three years ago – and honestly, it feels amazing! I’ve been hanging around on SoundCloud for about two years now, and I’m constantly blown away by the creativity, variety, and real talent to be found here.

Music is just a hobby for me – which is exactly why I have zero ambitions to make money with it. I’m here simply because it’s fun. So, a small request: Dear annoying promoters with your shady offers – please save us both the trouble, I’m not your guy. I’m not chasing follower counts, click records, or streaming millions. Sure, I’m happy when people listen – but what I value most is connecting with a few honest musicians who feel the same way I do. Quality over quantity, you know?

One thing I do find kind of sad: there’s so much AI-generated music floating around on SoundCloud, often without being labeled. Come on, folks – if a robot wrote your track, at least give R2-D2 the credits.

I play keyboards and have already had the pleasure of creating songs together with some wonderful musicians I met right here on SoundCloud – something I’d love to keep doing. For me, collaboration and exchange are a huge part of what makes music so exciting.

Tech corner, anyone? All my tracks are produced in Cubase 13 Pro. Over time, more and more VST instruments have snuck into my setup – from Spitfire and Native Instruments to Spectrasonics and more. My go-to drum sounds usually come from Toontrack, which have become the rhythmic backbone of many of my tracks. I’ll admit it: I’ve caught a bit of a collecting bug here. Sadly, it’s eating both my wallet and my hard drive space. Will it ever stop? Probably not. 🙄

Style-wise, I love exploring different genres with no limits. For me, the goal is simple: have fun, stay inspired, and keep growing creatively. And every time I stumble upon a track here on SoundCloud that really moves me – the kind of song you’d probably never hear on the radio – it feels like discovering a hidden treasure.

I’m really glad you found my channel – and I hope my music brings you as much joy as it brings me when I create it.

I've been making music since 1972. At the time, with Pedro Castro, we created the alternative rock band Petrus Castrus.

We are both amateur musicians, i.e. music lovers. As for me, I'm just an electrical engineer with a master in AI that really loves creating music and use it to share ideas. That is why all tracks include lyrics or texts.

By the way I'm not interested in third-party offers to boost the number of plays. I like it as it is, and I've always declined such offers. Thanks anyway. 

I don't repost much, just some tracks that I find outstanding and with very few plays, so I can help them to get better known. I believe that repost parsimony also makes life easier for those who follow me.

Please avoid reposting these deceptions, it only adds to the confusion.  And it encourages the algorithms to give them preference. ***

*** NOTE June 2024: Generative AI is becoming amazingly powerful. Nothing against it. Just to avoid the confusion and embarrassment of finding ourselves praising and encouraging mindless algorithms, I believe it would be nice for us to always disclose its usage in our tracks. Tomasz Kowalczyk (March 26, 1990) - composer, pianist, poet. In 2012, Tomasz graduated from the University of J.A Komeński in Leszno in the field of "Artistic education - musical art", and in 2014, the field of "Pedagogy" at the University of Humanities of Stanisław Leszczyński in Leszno. In 2018-2020, he released over 10 music albums in the field of piano, vocal and film music, which are available on streaming portals. Tomasz Kowalczyk composed songs based on  poems by Jan Lechoń and other well known Polish poets. He composes vocal music for the participants and finalists of Voice of Poland or Szansa na Sukces - popular tv music programme. Tomasz made a piano tour of England's historic towns in 2016 and gave concerts in Berlin and in Polish cities, incl. Kraków, Poznań, Leszno, Kościerzyna, Rydzyna. His works have been broadcast, among others in Rmf Classic, Radio Pryzmat, Ciche Radio or Radio Guardian. Tomasz lives in Leszno, where he teaches piano and composes piano, vocal, entertainment and film music. He also accepts composing orders. Tomasz has published 4 books on art and poetry. His works are played by musicians all over the world, incl. by Anna Sutyagina - a world-famous pianist.  Three times a composer of the week on  https://movingclassics.tv one of the biggest sites in the world about contemporary classic piano music. Guest of Teleexpress program in TVP and TVP Katowice. His pieces are played in JAZZ TV.
