Fernando Sanz se ha dedicado firmemente al arte de los ritmos y los breaks desde que era un joven de 14 años en la soleada ciudad portuaria de Algeciras, en el sur de España. Bajo el sello Orbe Records, Sanz ha cultivado su propia y próspera comunidad techno como artista y director del sello. Desde 2014 Orbe Records ha estado lanzando el techno de los compañeros de Sanz, Eduardo De La Calle y Steve Stoll, pero sobre todo del prolífico nombre de Sanz, Orbe. Como DJ y productor, Orbe mantiene un ambiente surrealista y ensoñador, a la vez que utiliza sutiles patrones de caja de ritmos para martillear los sólidos platónicos que mantienen intacta su querida comunidad.
Su interés por un sonido conceptual le hizo prestar atención a los ritmos techno, pasando por diferentes hardware como "Buchla Lem3" o "Andromeda" un estilo que le ha llevado a editar en sellos como "Hivern discs" de "John Talabot" o el prestigioso y veterano "Mental Groove" y pasar por grandes clubs como Propaganda (Moscú), Fuse (Bruselas), Le Sucre (Lyon) o Fabrique (Milán). Tras editar varios maxis en su propio sello y otros como "Analog Solutions" de "Eduardo de la Calle", Fernando lanza el Ep "Music of the spheres" que, con un remix de "Steve Stoll" le situaría como uno de los artistas emergentes de la escena techno europea, comenzando a actuar en lugares como Alemania, Holanda o Lituania entre otros.

Another live recording from the Reclaim Your City X Token night in early November and this one‘s a banger. Marcal is the budding Brazilian star act you may have heard of, commanding recognition post pandemic with his highly addictive loops. That’s certainly true in the case of Radio Slave, who played one of the former’s tracks on his show for Rinse FM and sought out the talent responsible. A serendipitous (online) meeting that blossomed into a deeper connection and had Marcal signed to Rekids, Enemy Records and Token. And here they are a little down the line and all the luckier for it. Marcal’s focus is on intelligent and minimal builds, those that work by way of rhythmic complexity and highly developed textures, brainy techno with a pinch of mischief. Bassiani Podcast 192 is a prime example of that formula in action, a two hour dose of the finest cuts and hardest basslines recorded live on the Bassiani floor.

This next one’s a very special B2B set from two of techno’s freshest talents. German/Dutch pairing Phil Berg and Lobster have emerged from their respective habitats masters of their art. From raves in both their homelands to releases on SK-eleven, HAYES, Room Trax and positivesource, as well as a shared residency for Vault Sessions that’s brought them here for Bassiani Podcast 210, the duo posit a deep and driving compound of high-voltage rhythms in their day-to-day praxis. Slamming techno that has claimed a rightful space among the greatest names of their generation. Layer by layer, an instinctive formulation of heaving basslines and delicate hi-hats balanced with utmost precision. It’s a seamless communion of complementary worldviews in respect to sound, a rich tapestry of ever morphing loops. It’s focus on gradual build, a slowly evolving chimera in lieu of schmaltzy instant gratification. This latest edition clocks in at three hours, a redacted version of their 12 hour set for the Vault Sessions night at Bassiani back in early February. Immersive and rolling, monolith techno that’s sure to set a higher bar for those who follow.

Report with the solo EP Structural Cohesion. This debut presented a theme that would guide not
only his sound but also his concepts and titles to this current date resulting in his own label and
artistic platform: Solitär.

Since the debut his output has been steady on well established labels such as Semantica, NON
series, Faut Section, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Soma and Kazerne (Mord).
