Radio Buttons 3, an eclectic sound bath by Jacob Meehan, is a follow up to his ambient mix made in Sept 2016 for Honey Soundsystem http://tinyurl.com/rr00dd , which he played live for his parents at sunrise, with 300 feet of extension cord snaked down to the pond behind their house,  before his big move from Chicago to Berlin. Radio Buttons #3 - Jacob Meehan

Madalba was born in July 1985 in Bari, south of Italy. From a very young age, her musical interests moved across a broad spectrum, going from house and dance music to rock and punk leading her lastly to techno and club-culture. 

At age 22 she approached the local scene as Djane with numerous performances in the club circuit of Bari. Through the years she has developed a continued and careful respect of the musical experience. She moved to Berlin in 2011 and started DJing with only vinyl records. This helped her to build a strong reputation as an underground techno DJ, providing opportunity for her to play in clubs such as Tresor, About Blank, SchwuZ, SO36 and Mikz in Berlin where she lives today. 

In September 2011, she moved to Detroit where she started the collaboration with DJ Seoul, Tom and Angie Linder of Detroit Techno Militia. This travel has definitely and radically changed her approach to the techno concept, which she considers more a political and social phenomenon and a lifestyle than just a musical genre.

From 2012 till 2016 she joined the party Homopatik as resident dj.

Her first releases on vinyl came out in 2014 on DTM-Label (Detroit) and Arkita Records (Berlin), the label that she spawned together with Synkopheit till 2016. 

In 2017 she launched her own record label Future Déjà Vu releasing 4 EP respectively by Transient X4, Ken Karter, Mannella a.k.a. DHARAXT, Phontonz & Shcuro.

In September 2017 she played her first house set for the summer closing of the Berlin based party Buttons. 

In Summer 2018 Madalba became resident dj at the historical club Tresor in Berlin. The same year she started a new collaboration with the London based crew Aria with a party series in the UK capital. 

Currently, she is techno resident dj and co-organizer of the party Buttons in About Blank teaming with Danilo Rosato, Anna Bolena, Jabob Meehan, Shingo Suwa, Akirahawks, Paolo Di Nola and Stanley Schmidt.

Deep Club is a record label, collective, series of parties, and devotion to American dance music that stretches from Denver, Colorado to Brooklyn, NY. Initiated in 2013 by a committed group of midwestern-raised DJs, Deep Club has cultivated a space in which developed and new forms of house and techno can be shared with the greater community. By marrying their club-level sound system with a DIY ethos, they present a focused vision and experience around their events. Over the last ten years Deep Club has hosted acclaimed talent like Marcellus Pittman, The Black Madonna, and Mike Huckaby at their dance-until-sunrise parties. A string of colorful and well-curated 12-inch vinyl releases and DJ mixes marks the outward and continuous growth of the Deep Club label concept.​ In 2021 a new chapter, Jewel, was carefully designed and executed in Brooklyn. Jewel aims to merge elements of American audiophilia with Midwestern and East Coast dance music roots.

From Chicago, Jacob Meehan has made a name for himself over the last fifteen years as both a musical purveyor & vibe creator. Since moving to Berlin in 2016, he’s left his mark with two projects beloved by the queer community: @radio-buttons & @wholefestival .
