DJ ramDog began mixing in 1995 while serving in the Army @ Ft. Bragg, NC at an underground nightclub.  Gothic, industrial and techno were the preferred genres back then but over the decades he has enjoyed: House, Breaks, Hip Hop and Dubstep, Glitch Hop plus Drum & Bass. Archaeological evidence from prehistoric times suggests that the Earth was once viewed as a living, female being. Ancient texts and mythologies support the idea of a female deity associated with the earth and all life. The Phyrigian Earth Mother Kybele was one such figure among many and represented the earth, mountains, caverns, and all nature, the birth of humanity, the universe and everything in it. 

Inspired by this timeless and universal vision, this project is dedicated to featuring and celebrating the bounty and beauty of the creative works of women in music through special podcasts, original releases, and mixtapes curated by women producers, DJs, and musicians of a wide range of genres from around the world. 

In addition to highlighting the works of women in music, Kybele develops opportunities for broader inclusion of and greater collaboration among emerging and established artists  of all backgrounds through the "Friends of Kybele" series.

Alex is a sound nomad venturing through sound and silence. Producing and mixing music is his way of sharing this passion and a way to express what is beyond words. He believes that a mindful and dedicated practice brings about a deeper understanding of both: sound and silence. 
Various labels like Kosa, Monada, Suprematic, Shango Records and Zolotaya Orda have released his music. From deep, active sound to funky grooves. It’s about simplicity. His aspiration is to connect people — with one another, with the music and with themselves.
