Ricardo Castro, curator & resident DJ of legendary London nightspots Slimelight. As resident DJ and booker at the world's longest-running goth club, Slimelight, Castro has been instrumental in promoting London's underground dark scene.
Beyond his Slimelight residency, Castro also runs & DJ the popular monthly Dark Room event in East London, where he continues to push the boundaries of the dark aesthetic by showcasing cutting-edge music and art. 

Ricardo Castro's DJ sets and events showcase his musical taste and appreciation for dark alternative genres. He blends dark electronica, dark disco, EBM, and other niche styles into his DJ sets.

His distinctive DJ talents have also been enjoyed at events like Torture Garden, KitKat Club Berlin, Necropolis Festival, Homostash, Transister and Hunter.

Slimelight is the longest running dark scene club in the world, as well as one of the most recognised and respected events. The club was founded by Dette Marsh and Mayuan Mak in 1987, and has been located at its current venue “The Electrowerkz” since October of that year. 

Initially opening as a members only club with just one dance floor playing what was advertised as “the only alternative”, in reality this was a mix of goth, post punk, industrial, new wave, indie, alternative electronic, and crossover 80s music.

Over the years the club has adapted to the ever changing dark scene, and has expanded to include multiple dance floors and performances from live bands.

BIOGRAPHY

Ozzy Cetin is a Turkey-born, London-based psytrance DJ and event organiser. He performs under several aliases, including Mysticism, Wired, Ramizes, and Freetech, each representing a distinct corner of the psychedelic spectrum. He is also the founder of Crystal Kids, a psytrance community and event series active in the UK and Turkey.

His DJ journey began in 2004 in Eskisehir, Turkey, under the name Ramizes, focusing on progressive and full-on psytrance. As his musical direction evolved, he introduced Mysticism for psychill and downtempo sounds, and Freetech in 2013 for darker and faster styles. Between 2011 and 2014, he was deeply involved in Turkey’s psytrance scene, contributing both as a DJ and as part of event crews across indoor and outdoor gatherings.

From 2014 onwards, Ozzy began playing internationally, appearing at established festivals and events including OZORA, Earthcore, Boomtown, Sonica, Free-Earth, One Tribe, and The Beat-Herder. In parallel with shifts in the global psytrance sound, he launched the Wired alias in 2019 to explore zenonesque, dark progressive, psygressive, and psytech-driven sets.

His work has also been recognised through several online DJ competitions, receiving Best DJ Set awards from Earthcore Festival (2015), Primitive Festival (2016), Psymera (2017), and Strange Daze (2017).

Alongside performing, Ozzy has been actively organising events in Turkey and the UK since 2015. His SoundCloud profile documents an extensive archive of recorded sets, each carefully curated with detailed tracklists, reflecting both his range and long-term engagement with the global psytrance scene.

Max Cooper is an electronic composer, multi-disciplinary artist, music label founder and former scientist who has carved out a unique space in music and visual art.

He holds a PhD in computational biology at the same time as being the first contemporary electronic musician to perform at the ancient Acropolis theatre in Athens and one of the first clutch of musicians to produce in Dolby Atmos.

Cooper has enquired for over 15 years through music, collaborations, and his label Mesh, to explore the intersections between the arts and sciences with installations, performances, immersive experiences, online media, music videos and live events.  Anchored throughout is his emotive approach, connecting how ideas and forms feel, in a manner accessible to us all. 
 
As an artist synonymous with the evolution of club culture, Cooper honed his craft as a DJ with a 10 year residency at legendary Midlands techno event Firefly where he formed a foundational relationship with Architecture Social Club, with whom he still collaborates on extravagant immersive installations.

"I want to encourage the acceptance of electronic music as an art form like any other. Bringing electronic music and abstract audio-visual projects into concert halls, museums and galleries is liberating - the art world opens up doors to communicate in ways that aren’t possible elsewhere."
