Lara Meltemi is a singer, songwriter, composer, musician, performer and actress.  
Since mid of 90th she writes songs in Russian and Ukrainian languages and sing songs additionaly in German, Polish and English.
Lara Meltemi is a songwriter and as an artist she performs her own and other songs. She started singing being 5 years old and continued during the school days. After study she became a cellist by profession.
In 2000 she started as a singer in a TV-show in Berlin, followed by many performances and concerts in Germany, Ukraine and Sweden. She sings with great success on many open air music festivals and in the largestand famous entertainment halls in Kiev ("Ukraine Palace", "Zhovtnevy Palace" and others).
Everywhere she performed her songs she earned great enthusiasm and applause based on her lovely songs and her strength of personality. Lyrics of her songs are very pretentious and full of original genuine metaphors up to own neologisms.
Her audience loves especially her beautiful velvety voice and the lyrical melodies as well as powerful ballads. She receives a lot of letters from over the world even from people who don't understand the lyrics.

I don’t create my songs with AI.
For me, every track has to grow through its own process, and that simply takes time. That’s where my soul flows into the music.

That doesn’t mean my songs are better or more sophisticated – I’d rather you form your own opinion.
As for vocals, I have to rely on loops, since illness keeps me from singing myself. Often, I discover a vocal line first and build the song around it. This means I sometimes have to compromise on the lyrics, so they don’t always mirror my personal outlook, mode of expression or poetry. Still, it’s important to me to share this truth.

I come from a musical family and was introduced to different instruments at an early age. The one that stuck with me were the drums. Various bands, gigs in small clubs. Even though, for lack of time, I didn’t actively make music for many years, music has always been one of the few constants in a turbulent life.

For the past few years, I’ve been seriously ill and slowly but surely on the home stretch. Since I can no longer play drums (I’m connected to a ventilator 24/7)
i started working with a DAW in 2024. It has become an important part of my life, my way of still creating something when my hands no longer can.

Here on SC there are so incredibly many amazing artists and people from all parts of the world … for me, it’s my universe. And the certainty that something is always possible, no matter how bad things get.
