Milan based DJ & producer @nICo_sound explores a broad range of music styles, from slow electronica, tribal rhythms to dark disco and techno. After his first release on Glasgow imprint Huntleys&Palmers, he released on Inside Out Records and more recently on Lyon label Hard Fist Records.

The track could be described as slow warped techno, like a distant vision of abandoned buildings, with menace around every corner and freaky synth motifs that hook you in ever further.

Following the lovely remix of Nathan Jonson's 'The Transfer' by the one and only The Drifter, released last week as a free download, Maeve Records welcomes the Nicosia-based Alex Tomb for its final release of 2022. 
Paludose Canter EP is a four-tracker that can easily be split into two parts. While 'Kids Will Be Kids' and 'The Cherry Village' carry the 'feel-good' vibe, and uplifting atmosphere suitable for boat parties and open-air endeavors, the 'B side' with 'Paludose Canter' and 'The Right Hand Demon' suits much better for big crowds and late nights on the dance floor. 
Our premiere for today, 'The Cherry Village,' is driven by joyous arpeggio and cheerful marimba melody creating a groovy, very positive vibe that will cause many smiley faces on the dance floor.

Tonight I have something special to share and that’s a mix from US producer, musician and composer McLean Macionis aka Alighted. The mix reflects his wide scope of artistic interests! Over the years, Mclean has written music for television shows; worked as a sound designer, released his own music, designed and built his own instruments and I know he feels like he’s only getting started. His mix touches on everything from dance, jazz, experimental, film and video game scores and I know listeners of this show are going to love it as much as I do.

McLean Macionis is a forward-thinking composer and producer whose solo and collaborative works live at the intersection of music, engineering, and the human experience. He currently releases music under the moniker Alighted and as one half of the electronic music duo NMND and operates a record label called Garden Broom Recordings based in upstate New York. In 2023, he released on Kompakt , Palette Recordings and his own music on Garden Broom Recordings.
