this is a cover of DAS RAD's circles, off their final cassette, i recorded this earlier tonight. my first track on soundcloud in two months. why such a long wait? soundcloud has this thing where free accounts can only upload like 90/120 minutes of audio, i'm currently at 66 minutes now. gotta act quick and sell out by buying a pro unlimited account, ya know?

the first time i ever heard DAS RAD was on a cassette i had bought at soupcans' release party for their album Good Feelings at double double land in late 2012, i bought a HSY/DAS RAD split tape there at the merch table, and within less than a few weeks, had already bought a DAS RAD shirt, seen DAS RAD play live 3-4 times, and had gotten bo's autograph on a gig poster (!!! -- a hilarious nervous first encounter, my first words to bo were "c-can you sign this?" thinking he was so awesome in my 15 year old world that i just had to have his friggin autograph, i still have the poster and i'd later repeat this "can u sign this" tradition four years later when i saw DAS RAD perform live for the very last time at the baby g and bought their very last tape)

when i asked bo through facebook on sunday if i could cover this song, it was a big yes. i then talked about it with him later that night while i binge ate on pretzels, we thought it'd be such a cool and cute idea for me to cover a DAS RAD track with my acoustic guitar and whiny vocals.
