The cat can't believe how much utterly fantastic music has been invading it's earbuds during February - so much so that it required a second playlist for this month.

Doing this with https://soundcloud.com/florian-luethi-59518579 really managed to create very uncomfy feelings in the first place..... I am very afar from the point where i would call myself a Keyboardplayer or a "Keyboardist", but that is something i really want to achieve some day. Then there is this Swiss Army Knive of a man, playing in a Band, playing in a Bigband, reinventing old classics, playing the Keys like a young god - how can you keep up with someone like him.

He sent me the first stem back then , i think in April 2021... and said that he want it to be our thing. There was a  toiletpaperroll kind of instructions which came along with it and music sheets which i really cannot read. Thank you, goddamn! AHahahah.  It is also slow, has various changes in timing and there is also a short variation in a part with a bpm change. 

Adding this into my DAW and setting it up was one thing, finding the right key to jam along with it and trying to go JAZZ was a complete different take. Holy SH*T. 

I prelistened alot this two milestone versions out there:
Thelonious Monk Quartet - 'Round Midnight -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yg7aZpIXRI and
Miles Davis Quintet - 'Round Midnight - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIgLt7LAZF0, and while doing so, i felt terrible feeble and developed some slight depression torwards the thing which Mr. Lüthi sent me. I was flatterned, that he thought i can keep up with something like that, but also frightened AF.

So i did listen to his version and i simply was not able to do it. I gladly was able to work on any music, but going 42 BPM, sorry, i fucking started going idle ... so slooooooooooow!!! (Remember : Dawn of Damn is 160 bpm - so this track here is a bout 4 times slower). After many months i finally set everything up and for another few months tried to play something to it - progress about to be aligned with those BPM hahah....

Late but nevertheless, the inspiration finally came and while i tried to line up with this jazzy thing, Florian wanted the FY - Mojo and Crazyness, so he completely changed the whole base for the song and bam bam bam - boomarang!! We both hope that you enjoy this new version of a classic which has been re-issued about 2000 times! We are pretty confident, that this version is quite different... :)

Thank you Florian for the possibility to do this with you and all your patience, your super cool uplifting attitude and positive and constructive critic! Also pretty happy, that he allowed me to collaborate with his unique drawing style. I really tried to adapt and went full drawing mode this time! This was so much fun!
