– Reflections from the Hadīth of the five things before five: “Take advantage of your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your riches before your poverty, your free time before you are preoccupied, your life before death.” [Ṣaḥiḥ Al-Jām’ī 1077]
– Whoever is neglectful in doing actions during their youth, good health, in riches, free time and during their life then he will not be able to do it in his old age, sickness, poverty, preoccupation and at time of death.
– Reflections from the Hadīth: There are two blessings that many people neglect - good health and free time

– Shaykh Zayd Madhkhalī:
Beautiful explanation of the following three categories of patience:
1. Patience upon the obedience of Allah
2. Patience upon staying away from the disobedience of Allah

– Principle: whether you understand the trial, you must remain patient upon the decree.
– Shaykh Fawzan:
Principle regarding sins: if you err then you must return back to the truth if you are the one that is wrong. If you are a person on truth and you did not err then you must exercise patience, seeking the reward of Allah and reflect upon the way of the Prophets and their patience, awaiting the aid of Allah.
– Shaykh Uthaymīn:
Statement from Ibnul Qayyim regarding: Striving against oneself and its levels:
1. Strive to learn guidance and the true religion
2. Strive to act upon the knowledge that you have gained.
Principle: if you can’t help yourself, you will not be able to help others. Rectifying yourself will aid others.
3. Strive to call to the way of Allah and teach those who aren’t aware of it.
4. Strive to remain patient with those around him.
– If a person acts upon these four levels then they will be Rabbaniyoon

- Explanation of the statement of Imām al-Bukhārī by Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalī (رحمهم الله).

- 7. al-Muḥabbah (love), the opposite of which is al-Bughd (hatred)
- 8. al-Kufr (disbelief). 
- The obligation of disbelieving in everything that is worshipped besides Allāh, loving and hating for the sake of Allāh and freeing oneself from shirk and its people. 
- The rights of Lā ilāha illa Allāh and affairs that complete its meaning.

The Third: That whoever is obedient to the Messenger ﷺ and singles out Allāh with all worship, upon Tawhīd, then it is not permissible for him to have friendship and alliance with those who oppose Allāh and His Messenger, even if they are those most closely related to him, and the proof is the saying of Allāh, the Most High: 
{You will not find a people who believe in Allāh and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allāh and His Messenger, even if they are their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk. Rather Allāh has decreed true Faith, for their hearts and strengthened them with proof, light and guidance from Him; and He will enter them into the gardens of Paradise beneath whose trees rivers will flow, and they will dwell therein forever. Allāh is pleased with them and they with Him. They are the Party of Allāh. Indeed the party of Allāh are the successful} [Surah Mujadilah::22]

– Principle of Wala and Bara: allegiiance/ loving/ friendship for Allāh's sake and disassociation/ turning away/ freeing oneself from those who oppose Allāh.

– Shaykh Fawzān Explanation:
Having love and allegiance isn’t permissible towards those who oppose Allāh, even if they are closely related to you.

– Explanation of how Walā and Bara follow on from Tawhīd and is from the rights of Tawhīd.
