This DJ set was recorded at Live Oaks Ranch for the annual Troubadour music micro-festival. Thanks to David & Lysa for creating such a haven for people to come and experience music in nature. I had SUCH a wonderful time and was so inspired to get to perform a Sunday Daytime set for the community.

As more of an electronic music producer and DJ the last 15 years, creating the song "Embers in the Air" felt like a return to my acoustic roots and having grown up in the 90’s, is me getting back in touch with my teenage self. It was written on a warm, starry summer night playing guitar on my front porch in Calabasas, California in 2022 when I was deeply and MADLY in love with a man who ultimately… broke my poor heart. Such is the world, and the dangerous territory of opening your heart (and choosing to ignore major red flags). But, as beauty somehow always arises from tragedy, like a phoenix from the ashes, after finally getting the strength (and courage) to release it - I would now like to dedicate this song to all of the hopeless, idiot romantics in the world like me, falling in love with devils and still remaining angels. Cello work by the phenomenal Aaron Sinclair and guitars, bass and vocals by yours truly!
