The dynamic is stunning and beautifully recorded.  This is a fine exploration of a Scriabin theme and maybe a bit of a teaser.

I Still Believe

I had this dream—one I’m sure many of you have had, but this one felt different. It was just me. No wings, no machines, nothing to keep me in the air, yet somehow I was flying. I remember the feeling so clearly… It was like I’d always known how to do it. My body just lifted off the ground, like it was the most natural thing in the world. At first, I didn’t even question it. I was floating, rising higher, the wind moving past me, cool and weightless, almost like it was carrying me.
The higher I went, the smaller everything below became. The world just... faded away. I felt completely free—no worries, no limits, just me and the sky. The wind wasn’t fighting me, it was part of me, guiding me along these invisible currents. There was this sense of peace, like I could stay there forever, gliding through the air. It was quiet, calm, and for a moment, I really believed I could stay up there, above it all.
But dreams don’t last. All of a sudden, everything shifted. The wind that had held me up turned cold, like a warning. I could feel myself falling, losing control. It happened so fast—I was plummeting, the ground rushing up to meet me. I tried to hold on to that feeling of flight, but it slipped away. And then, I crashed—hard. Everything went black, and that’s when I woke up. Heart racing, breath gone, and the memory of flying… gone in an instant. But for those few moments, it was everything.
This piece of music was written around that dream, capturing the freedom of flight, the shift in the wind, and the sudden crash that jolted me awake. I hope it takes you on the same journey.

In Dreams

It was a real challenge to make this late romantic piece of Sibelius. 
For me especially interesting of the many changes in dynamics, tempi, and pizzicato, tremolo etc. 
But to ‘think’ like a conductor was a privilege. I used, Audiomodelling instruments, Altiverb, Project Sam and Divisimate.
 I hope you enjoy it!

beauty and the beast

Started in early 2024, the album was supposed to be an EP consisting of several tracks, but after going through multiple transformations, during which original piano pieces were turning into crossover electronic versions with full arrangement and back, spinning in interrupted rehearsal cycles, becoming closer to recording and then drifting away from it as Jan was moving between continents, countries and towns and the world was precipitating toward the disaster to then shy away from it.

While the left-hand figures and time signatures, as well as the task of finding a tittle for every piece, were getting ever more intricate, the choice of the instrument that could convey at least the unwordable part was, on the contrary, getting increasingly clear.

Et voilà, here it is: a perfectionist's take on imperfection, a long-exposure shot of a world pulling itself out of the catastrophe, graffiti on a Berlin subway wall, grand piano take B, an apartment in the centre of Madrid with a view on the sea of chimneys and antennas, the desperate lack of words somehow masked with the noise of the Pacific.
