"The cover picture was taken in 1977 at The World Frisbee Championships in Pasadena, California. My father is on the left of the picture & my uncle is on the right and they both went on to win their 2nd World Frisbee Freestyle pair title. The name 'Flamingosis' comes from a freestyle frisbee move that my father invented." - Flamingosis

Bike Thieves are back. On last year's celebrated "Laura EP", the Stockholm duo plunged into the sounds of classic garage and deep house. On "Catherina EP", Erik and Daniel move in a slightly different direction. An explosive blend of afro grooves, tribal vocals and deep kicks and basslines, "Catherina EP" lets the rhythmic frenzy of Fela Kuti encounter modern house music. The record also features @Saine, one of Finland’s finest underground producers.

On the title track of "Catherina EP", Bike Thieves offer a mysterious deep house burner which slowly builds up around punchy congas, sweeping pads and female chants. This is the true story of a fearless woman who climbed the mountains of Mali without any safety equipment.

Not a lot is know about the mysterious producer 'Internet Xacker'. What do we know? Originally from Kiev but now living in Berlin. One previous release called 'Therapy for Anxiety' that was a self released vinyl only and just 15 copies produced! We like his style.

One other thing we do know is, that this producer has been heavily influenced by the Nu Northern Disco scene and throughout this EP you'll be reminded of Todd Terje, Lindstrom and Prins Thomas. High praise this may be but the proof is in the listening.

Mystery Australian producer of warm and bouncy jams is back on Lobster off shoot Distant Hawaii. 'Looking Forward' is a hazy sunset jam with its emotive chord motif & phased 909s. It's such a simple track when you think about it, but the textures that wash in and out and the movement provided by the phaser over the drums provide a lovely organic flow that locks you in. Proving sometime its the simple things that can provide the most emotion.
