A magical moment when the world is forced into darkness... 

The first release from Sophia Dady, The Eclipse was written following the 20th March 2015 solar eclipse, the first of four eclipses in 2015. 

Sophia: "The eclipse was weird - there was an uneasy feeling so I wrote a song about the magical connection of two beings together at the exact moment of totality (darkness) - the awakening of the soul, love... and life!"
 
The track was produced and mixed by George Shilling whose incredible CV includes Frank Turner, Steve Winwood, Stornoway, Blur, Texas, Primal Scream, Ocean Colour Scene, Porcupine Tree, Mary J. Blige and many others.

Born and raised in Buckinghamshire, by her mother (musician and singer) and her father (artist and sculptor), it is no wonder Sophia grew up to inherit the creative side of her parents. From a very early age, Sophia began to create what she thought were musical masterpieces at the piano - much to the annoyance of her parents! - However, this is the one vein that stayed constant with her throughout her life. It was only latterly (and after raising her family) that she could no longer put off this endeavour to pursue and fulfil her musical dream. Sophia is a self taught songwriter who draws from her real life experiences. Love, lust, power, pain and excitement...its all there!
