Past the shiny golden mountains and the babbling, singing, laughing brook.

That show that I had no thing then, but luck.

Oh, I, decided I would take a trip.
A trip into the stars upon a shiny, dreaming white spaceship.
There just isn't any way we'll slip. 
Up, on the ship created for this trip. 

But first, I thought that I might take a look.
I couldn't see the right hand for the constant rain of life's left hook. 
The length of time it seems I had mistook. 
The number of the pages in the book.

Like a sort of pirate, with an eye patch and a wooden knee.
Imagine all the freedom there will be.
Up in space with pirates living free.

But, it is just harder than it seems.
To shoot off into space and live out all your crazy wildest dreams. 
Turns out that you need to go in teams.
If you want to live out all your dreams.

I’m a singer/songwriter from Guildford, Surrey, England. I started writing songs when I was 12 on a piano but really got into it when I started playing the guitar at 13/14. As with so many of us, career and family became the priority and I stopped writing over a 30 year period. Now I’ve retired, I’ve finally got time to write and record again and I love it! 
I play everything on the songs and record on my MacBook on GarageBand. Still learning!
