On the forefront of Northern Europe's techno scene for almost 3 decades now, Bjarnar Jónsson’s reputation has been built out of a storied commitment to its ethos. His journey is well evidenced in an arms-length catalog of over 20 releases, where his skill and precision at cutting magnetic and blissfully deep records are on full display. Noteworthy labels such as @thule-records, RAWAX, @luckofaccess, @vademecumrec, and AE Recordings are just a few of the labels Ohm lays claim to. Collaborating regularly with the likes of Dub techno pioneer @exos and fellow countryman @octalindustries.

Now based in Copenhagen, Ohm continues to make an impact on the scene. Spinning regularly at local hotspot Culture Box and, as well as running two shows on Timeline music online platform.

Highdub is a DJ producer from Mexico City with more than 10 years of experience in the national electronic scene. In 2018 he created a project called Rooftop Sessions introducing a brand new musical and artistic style in the city. 2021 has undoubtedly been a very important year in the trajectory of this versatile producer since in that year the first Dub Techno party was held in Mexico with two of the most iconic and pioneering representatives of the Dub Techno scene Ohm (Iceland) and Federsen (Scotland). His musical style has been mainly influenced and supported by great artists like Ohm, Thor, Nae Tek, Kirill Matveev and Andrey Pushkarev just to name a few.

@rogergerressen was born in Arnhem (the Netherlands), raised on early 90’s hiphop in Nijmegen. As a kid, always drawn to making mixtapes and fiddling around with the old records in the attic, but never realizing he’d be ending up creating music and playing records. His passion for movies and hiphop kept him occupied. It took a giant (first) rave on his 18th birthday to see the real potential of house music and his objective was clear. In the years following he got the chance to warm up crowds on a regular basis at the legendary Planet Rose clubnights, which made his hometown Nijmegen an excellent place to develop his skills as a warm up DJ and to obtain a broad taste in music. The dutch town always had a strong history in electronic music, but remained small enough not to be influenced by trends or hypes: a perfect spot to create your own sound and identity, playing alongside the greats.
After his first solo releases on the local Wolfskuil Records he co-founded @eshu-records in 2011. Recognision came after a string of well received solo releases on @fear-of-flying-recordings (and sub-label SuddenDrop), his many collaborations with @ivanotetelepta and numerous other collabs (like @dilatedpupilsnl, ARC# and Novio Dub Tribe). A few years down the line it was time for a new direction which resulted in parting ways with ESHU to start his own label OGUN Records and a few monikers (like the recent Monoaware and less recently Gasometric Run) to provide him with the creative freedom he was looking for. Since he joined Paris based @yoyaku (label/store/distribution) he had the chance to release music on a few of the recordstore’s in-house labels like Joule Imprint, Aku and Tartouffe and on the renowned label @sushitech. With their support, he set up two more labels to meet his output; Irenic Records and Autodidact Records.

@alessandro_crimi already producing music for over 20 years from his headquarters in Baden, Switzerland Alessandro is playing a big part in the development of the beautiful sound of Dub Techno. Besides his own productions he is the founder of the label @waehlscheibe, which has seen 10 vinyl releases and celebrate their 10th anniversary this year. Also anno 2022 there is a lot of magic coming from his hands, with a recent sold out record on @etui-records, and more in the future he will be part of a great VA coming out on@rogergerressen Irenic.
His work for @statelymusic is once again a super diverse ep, with music for every mood.

Russian DJ Alex Meshkov was born in Smolensk and now resides in Moscow with more than 25 years of expertise. He started his career as a DJ at the "Aquatoria" club in 1996. He eventually rose to the position of resident DJ at the storied underground radio station "Substation," which is still known for the industrially dark ambience of its Saturday morning techno and electro gigs and the dark ambient and trip-hop radio shows he hosted at night.  DJ Alex Meshkov's name is now associated with a significant number of nightclubs and a time in the Russian techno scene. His performances have occurred all over the world, including in Germany, Macedonia, Romania, Switzerland, France, Poland, England, Austria, Serbia, and every country in between.

Dan Goul - Dub Techno TV Podcast Series #93

During our trip to the Netherlands in October, we had an opportunity to meet one of the rising stars from the Dutch underground electronic scene that we've been following for a few years now, Ashley Haak, aka Luna Ludmila. The talented DJ and producer from Utrecht stole our hearts with her warm and friendly attitude, vast music knowledge, and incredible DJ skills. 

After contributing a track to the 'Nowhere 02' compilation on SoHaSo and remixing Dwaalgast's 'Maan' track, both of which we had the pleasure premiering, Luna Ludmila released an outstanding debut solo EP on Amsterdam-based Statetly Records in June last year.
With many local and international gigs, already under her belt, including Loveland Festival, Breakfast Club, Shelter, and Paradigm, to name a few, and her upcoming debut at the infamous Awakenings festival Luna Ludmila is one the bright stars from the vibrating Dutch scene. 

Luna Ludmila's mix is deep and dubby, blurring the lines between house and techno with excellent track selection and smooth flow. It's the late-night, after-hour vibe in its finest form.

He dreamt that he was flying around from flower to flower and while he was dreaming he felt free, blown about by the breeze hither and thither. He was quite sure that he was a butterfly. But when he awoke he realised that he had just been dreaming, and that he was really Chuang Tzu dreaming he was a butterfly. But then Chuang Tzu asked himself the following question: "was I Chuang Tzu dreaming I was a butterfly or am I now really a butterfly dreaming that I am Chuang Tzu?"
