I am a singer songwriter producer from the North West in the  UK.....I love Jazz and Soul...in fact  all music brings me joy!, My music has had mainstream play on The BBC music app  on The Sun Lounge  show with Adam Dunning and BBC introducing  in Manchester with “ Roesh”  Jazz FM Curved Radio in Australia  and  KJazz radio UK . I'm an east London producer, song writer, sound designer and vocalist. 'Fluff' is my solo project. (I'm the other half of trip-hop duo www.soundcloud.com/silverstreaks). 

Fluff-music combines traditional songwriting, indie, electronic, goth, ethereal/synth pop and experimental/cinematic sound design into powerful, emotional sound scapes. Manipulated field recordings and audio textures add suggestive sounds to evoke raw and visceral emotions in the listener. 

Influences: 
Indie/art rock, darkwave and the electroclash scene in the mid 00s.

I like Soundcloud because it's a friendly community for sharing our music. When I comment on a track, I like to say something about how you wrote, performed or produced it. I have musically diverse interests: pop/rock, jazz-rock fusion, prog & alternative rock, blues, classical and neoclassical, to mention some. Thank you very much to everyone who takes the time to listen, like and share my noises. I am extremely grateful. My apologies if I take a little while to respond to those that leave nice comments.

I like listening to music, making simple, tunes when I have time, and generally faffing about in an inefficient manner. Hopefully you might like something on offer here. 

I use a Hinkler Cigar Box guitar (about $30 from Aldi, great fun), a Flying V ukulele, a couple of old keyboards, other bits and bobs, and a Yamaha tenor saxophone.

Welcome friends and to my profile! I hope to celebrate 300 original tracks on Soundcloud this year!  Thank you for listening and helping me in my musical journey. It has been a difficult year for me personally. Yet, musically, I believe I am writing some of my best music.  I am infinitely inspired and humbled by the extraordinary creativity I hear from your music each day and the wonderful friends I have encountered from every part of the world! THANK YOU! I am so very grateful for your support and the gift of music in my life!
 
What Inspires Me...I am inspired each day to compose music that touches and connects the listener in meaningful ways that are personal to their own experiences and feelings.  I believe what the world needs is more songs about love for all living things and the earthly treasures around us. The power of love is magical, mysterious, and miraculous!  And, it is essential to our survival like water and the air we breathe.  I believe that through the universal language of music, love can heal, bring joy, and create an invisible chain that pulls all of us together, not apart.  

A Little About Me...I started composing in 2016  after not touching the piano for many years. A career, raising a family and just every day life got in the way of making music. After retiring as a music teacher in the public schools, I started dreaming of playing the piano again and my years of classical training slowly came back to me. I love every genre of music, and the talent and creativity on SoundCloud has inspired me at every level!

For those of you who follow me on Soundcloud, I have been experimenting with adding tracks to my piano compositions.  I create and record everything myself using a Yamaha 660DGX, including the instrumental tracks built into the keyboard. Then, I edit on my laptop using Sony Sound Forge Music Pro.  It's a simple set up, and I have lots to learn.  I am not afraid of receiving feedback if you have any to give.  Sometimes, it's the most simple thing I may be doing wrong that changes everything!

I’ve been around the block a few times. Played a lot of guitar and a bit of other instruments. Mostly I've worked as a visual artist. I've spent some years in the music biz with a major label and my own indie label. I’ve done some other interesting things, too, including: horse training, long motorcycle trips, movie set design, accompanying my wife on her pro bowling tours, and I've seen a good bit of the world. Now I’m retired and still keep busy doing all the things I want to do.
