As Flowers Bloom

With a crimson-lit house at my back
I pierce through sunrays, ever-deepening
toward the floor’s unseen edge—
the brightest point buried in the depths

When the black, mirrored wall
suddenly swings open
I am blinded by the brilliance
of a box, radiant and alive

There, I encounter portraits—
each distinct yet strangely akin
alike yet innately alien
fragments of essence captured

Passing fleetingly, brushing past
I find myself back at the beginning
In that moment, I traded my eyes for ears

꽃을 피우다 보면

떠오르는 붉은 빛의 집을 등지고
물들어가는 햇살을 뚫고 나아가면
 
바닥 어딘가,
가장 깊고 가장 밝은 지점을 향해 발을 디딘다
 
반사되는 검은 벽이 문득 열리는 순간
눈부시게 빛나는 상자 속

서로 다르지만 어쩐지 닮은
닮았으나 본질적으로 이질적인
편린들의 초상들을 만난다
 
그렇게 스치듯 지나며
다시금 처음에 도달한 순간
나는 눈과 귀를 맞바꿨다

Walking Through Ice

At the moment when light is clearest,
I walked through ice
Beneath my feet, fissures were born
and vanished into silence

Ice replicates itself
freezing over once more

Meaning shatters,
