And thusly she mused - What if you made up with a friend (after a fight?) by throwing them a paper plane .... no words used....And it could be done out of the blue, unexpected. I think it would get a smile.

Enigma

Having washed his soul in the River, the main character from my last song has now become a better Man, well nearly a better man. When you listen to the lyrics i think we may all agree that he might have to make a visit back to the River ..pretty soon.

Used the same guitar as the last time, added some distortion to the lead guitar to add dynamics at the chorus and introduced an acoustic guitar in the Right speaker with the bridge pick up guitar in the left speaker, sort of spreads the sound, I loosened the snare on the  snare drum to get more of a rattle and pumped up the kick a bit. Hope you like it ..All you sinners .

Optional Challenge: Time is of the essence. Time is an illusion. Time is money. Time flies.

My compositional idea was to represent multiple time references, all moving forward at their own rate. Inspiration from a Stravinsky score, as well as other modern composers.

Tamar Berk's first single/video “Shadow Clues,” is a dark, acoustic riff-driven song inspired by Plato’s allegory of the cave and how reality  might be judged based on shadows, or flickering images on the walls.  Through the song, she wonders if the shadows tell us more than we want to know.

The Cleveland native started on the Chicago indie garage-rock, psychedelic and punk scenes, emerging as a founding member of the groups Starball and Sweet Heat, releasing albums on such cult indie labels as Thick Records, Minty Fresh and Kill Rock Star. She formed the electro-punk duo the Countdown with her husband, releasing music on Invisible Records. After relocating to Portland, OR, Tamar performed and recorded in 60’s inspired band The Pynnacles and ‘70s-influenced Paradise while she continued to write her own songs. Since moving to San Diego, Tamar built a partnership with Matt Walker on drums (Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Filter, Morrissey) and Sean O’Keefe a the mixing helm (Beach Bunny, Fall Out Boy, Plain White T’s) and launched her solo career with The Restless Dreams of Youth in 2021, Start at the End in 2022 and Tiny Injuries to be released summer of 2023.
