Revisiting Nina Pixina's (@ninapixina) cerebral opening set for our party in November at FOLD. The Transylvanian, London-based artist warmed up the space with hypnotic moods, shapeshifting  melodies and the more shadowy elements of techno; a perfect start to the night.

Nina has been a TM8 regular since we started out, and we've watched their journey as a DJ evolve over the years. We were so happy to invite Nina to play for us and enjoy their presence and energy from the DJ booth rather than the dancefloor.

S3BA is a trans*disciplinary musician whose career began as an opera singer and performance artist before she shifted her creative focus to electronic music. With residencies at Makaan and Netil Radio and appearances at venues such as Fold London, she has become a recognised presence in London’s underground scene since her first public performance in March 2024, driven by a belief in the transformative political power of the dance floor.

Recorded live in January 2025 at the birthday of Makaan’s founder, this mix showcases S3BA’s signature blend of mind‑bending sonorities and spotlights tracks by trans+ and queer artists, creating a focused journey of energy and momentum.

The trans*disciplinary musician, artist, co-parent of MYTO and resident DJ for the Makaan record label and community played a beautiful set for us, shaped by spiralling melodies, wavey basslines and plenty of playful touches throughout.

Sevyn0000’s (@sevyn0000) set from our FOLD event in May is now available to listen back to in full. The New York-based producer and DJ shared a textured set with us that night, layered with psychedelic rhythms, spacious sound design and crunchy percussion. From the glitchy intro to the shadowy final track, we were hooked.

S3BA is a trans*disciplinary musician and artist who’s journey began as a classical singer and performance artist before evolving into the world of DJing. They have performed in venues such as Barbican Centre, Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall Boston, Arscht Center Miami, KKL Luzerne, Southbank Centre, Santa Fe Opera, Glimmerglass Festival, Wilderness Festival and presented performance work in Museums such as MFA Boston, NSU Art Museum, Bacardi Towers, & Tete-a-Tete as well as featuring on a number of broadcasts for both TV and Radio with the likes of BBC and NPR.

S3BA, in addition to being a resident with Makaan, has been seen behind the decks for collectives like Playbody, TM8, Homostash, Boudica, Howl, Meanwhile, and Riposte, at venues such as Fold, SET Woolwich, and Unit90, and recently performed for FKA Twigs' Eusexua album launch at The Cause with Wraith.

With a sound that weaves the ethereal with the political, the transcendent and confronting, S3BA mixes multiple genres into a blend that takes the dancefloor on a mind bending journey, leaving audiences never knowing exactly what to expect.

An active organiser and politicised body, S3BA is also co-parent of MYTO, a multimodal organism spanning learning and contemporary practice, hosting monthly residency on Netil Radio where she is joined by guests discussing their musical journey and sociopolitical perspectives.

Her work with the trio SEMARA has led to important performances at venues such as V&A East Storehouse bringing radical trans+ expression to a wide public.

She also collaborates with Safe Only CIC promoting the dancefloor's transformative political power through welfare and harm reduction in nightlife.
