After this I saw: the temple, the tabernacle in heaven, was opened, and out of the temple came the seven angels who had the seven plagues, clothed in pure, bright linen and girded around the chest with golden belts. And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power; and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.

Danach sah ich: Es wurde aufgetan der Tempel, die Stiftshütte im Himmel, und aus dem Tempel kamen die sieben Engel, die die sieben Plagen hatten, angetan mit reinem, hellem Leinen und gegürtet um die Brust mit goldenen Gürteln. Und eine der vier Gestalten gab den sieben Engeln sieben goldene Schalen voll vom Zorn Gottes, der da lebt von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit. Und der Tempel wurde voll Rauch von der Herrlichkeit Gottes und von seiner Kraft; und niemand konnte in den Tempel gehen, bis die sieben Plagen der sieben Engel vollendet waren.
