Today we bury my father-in-law. I recorded this song many years ago and offer it here in honor of his life and passing. In life and in death, we belong to God.

This is one of my favorites, a traditional gospel blues song that emphasizes the power of prayer and the constant presence of Jesus.

Let's call this a kind of Neo-Folk Trance Fusion.

I had a lot of fun working with this song. It was originally recorded on a Tascam 424 in my home studio in West Virginia in the mid to late 90s as a series of so far unreleased recordings with Peter Sabath that predated Belly Hymns. (I loved this particular song so much I used it as the theme song for my PeaceGrooves Podcast). This version was edited and produced on a MS Surface using Audacity and Acid Pro 7.  This is best listened to with headphones or your speakers cranked up to 11. Enjoy!
