The long anticipated battle against the Queen has finally arrived, whether they're ready for it or not. Unlike Asgore in Undertale, Toriel DOES NOT disable Kris' Mercy button in any way shape or form, allowing them to TIRELESSLY SPARE HER!

In fact, the main reason for this is because throughout the battle, Toriel will actually plea for Kris to turn back and run away, to live a life with the friends they've surely made along the way. She does not want to fight, not even a little bit, but does so because she knows she has to.

Despite Toriel granting Kris the option to run, Kris actually straight up refuses to do so. They're too close to turn back now. They cannot back down now, there's got to be another way for everyone to have a happy ending here. This very sentiment is what keeps them going, the idea that even though there's seemingly no right answer HERE, there's bound to be good answers in a future where they press on.

Endlessly sparing Toriel is not the easiest strategy to pull off as it would take far longer to whittle her down enough to spare her than it would to simply fight her proper, but it IS an option.

Battle theme for Serendipity, the Clam Goner.
Chapter Six's secret boss.

You'd fight her after returning her stolen eye to her, now embued with a shadowcrystal.
Upon being forced to see the world she left behind, through a brand new lense, she goes mad.
Desperate to return to the other world, she decides THE SOUL is her best bet of returning and going back from being a goner.

But you can't turn back once you've gone in too deep.
You can't turn back from suicide once you've already gone too far into your attempt.
She's too far gone.

You'd fight her beneath the sea under the docks.
There'd be a time limit as the party, (Gash and EVERYMAN, or Gash and DESS, depending on what point on your playthrough you fight Serendipity.), slowly drowns.

The background would grow darker and darker as the timer ticks down, and once it ends, both Serendipity and the party would drown.

There is no unique soul mode for this battle.
Soul modes are not exclusive to secret boss fights in this AU.
They are included in CH3 minibosses, and the CH6 Discard fights, among other things in previous chapters.

Maybe this concept on the surface level is a bit too similar to DROWNING DRONING and Vision Crew's Hex, but I don't mind.
I've had this Clam Goner idea for a while, and I'm happy with the content made for her.
