Love that huge reverberant drum sound and 'fat' organ/ keys. Always a very distinctive guitar tone. Nice flowing & well-blended production.

Got some nice choice of sounds in there, it's very atmospheric and almost has an xmas vibe to it with the underlying tones of the guitar plucking. Put together very nicely indeed

very emotional sound, the music is well written and captures a feeling of heartbreak very well. would love to hear this with some lyrics sung in a soft voice

The warehouse was bathed in sunlight. The band were set up for another session when Mike dropped into an elegiac and anthemic organ line and it went from there.  Matthias' drums resonated from the walls and "Sadness Blocks The Sun" happened".

Recorded in a deserted warehouse late at night, if you listen carefully you can hear some of the ambient noises sneaking into the mix. The inspiration for the song was gifted to the band my Mike's old keyboard teacher, who played a Vox Continental in an underground psych band in San Francisco in the late 60s.

To this the band add dark, almost soundtrack like instrumentation over a hiss of constant feedback from Jussi's guitar.

Chronic Trap/Koto Type beat (prod. by Mosxpit)

Keyboard player Mike Taylor could never quite work out where his tutor came from. He lived in lodgings on his street and hung around the local bar. 

Some people said he used to be in a big psych band in '67, but Mike could never quite find out. Sure there were the weekly lessons but his tutor never said much, just showed him to the keyboard in his dusty room with tattered gig posters on the wall and had him play.

"Nine Fingers" was all he gave him, it's hidden in the track if you listen closely. A pattern that his mentor told him just took nine fingers to play. Mike remembered and from that day he brought the track to the band and it become the eponymous "Nine Fingers".

The track kicks off with Jussi's guitar but it's not long before Mike takes center stage recalling the 60's melody from his mysterious teacher.
