Flying the flag for ‘quality independent electronic music’, born and bred on a national and global scale in their homebase of Australia and beyond, Balance Music have been at the very forefront of underground house music since its inception, expertly guided by experienced director Tom Pandzic. Their revered Balance Mix Series (Established in 2000) has seen the likes of Max Cooper, James Zabiela, Kolsch, Hernan Cattaneo, Henry Saiz, Danny Tenaglia, Deetron, Joris Voorn, Patrice Baumel, James Holden, Agoria, Phil K (R.I.P.), and more step up to the plate for one of the most essential collections across the entirety of the electronica spectrum, whilst Balance Series, their showcase for expressive tech, progressive and wider variations of house music, is a focal point of the sound. The latter has nurtured top-drawer releases from quality artists encompassing a plethora of upcoming and established acts. Tr One/Themisto Man is a DJ and producer based in Carlow, Ireland. A much-respected figure within Ireland’s fertile electronic music scene, he cites the likes of Dublin’s D1 Recordings, Kraftwerk and J Dilla as early influences. Equally inspired by vintage sounds from Chicago and Detroit. 

Fast-forward over close to 15 years and although the project may now be a solo one, his dedication to all things house, techno and electro remains unwavering. A prolific producer, his sounds have led him to some of his country’s most-renowned labels, including Lunar Disko, Apartment, Bodytonic, 393 and Pogo and his new imprint Intrinsic Rhythm. What’s more, his music has earned the respect of numerous high-profile names such as Moodymann, Laurent Garnier, Prosumer and many more and has been remixed by a stellar cast including Scott Ferguson, Sonja Moonear, Cignol, Dechord, Lerosa and John Heckle.


From a DJ perspective, he has played in all of Ireland and Dublin’s foremost nightspots including Twisted Pepper, Wigwam, Tengu, District 8 and beyond in Belfast, London, Manchester and Berlin.  A DJ with a truly eclectic vision, this is represented in the names he has played alongside. From Juan Atkins to DJ Stingray to Helena Hauff, Dave Clarke, Surgeon, Jeff Mills, DVS1,  Maurice Fulton and Steffi, Reynolds is a DJ capable of stepping up under any occasion. From a live perspective he blazed a trail in Ireland with a unique hardware based live show which was recently resurrected for 2022's Open Ear Festival and will be performing further dates in the future. 


His latest endeavours have brought him to release an acclaimed debut album on his new imprint Intrinsic Rhythm and prior to this releases on scene-shaping British label Don’t Be Afraid (where in 2019 he released one of his most-cherished releases to date, the magnificent ‘A Month Has Passed’ EP), as well as Lunar Disko, where he collaborated again, this time alongside compatriot R Kitt on the no-less-emphatic sounds of LDRX7 as well as the solo ChiCarlow EP. With recent releases on Mexican imprint Short Attention, Tokyo based Ashigakari and Dublin imprint First Cut these are exciting times for one of Ireland’s most consistent electronic music producers.


He also has released under new alias Themisto Man and is continuing to work and release music from his base in Carlow, Ireland and will soon ready his second vinyl release on Intrinsic Rhythm complete with a remix by Mihail P and has future plans for the label including work by John Heckle and more. 

Most recently he has combined with New Jackson to form MMOTTORR with a recent release on Intrinsic Rhythm and a live performance at other voices festival.

Elsewhere, Kevin has released with Drumcode, Experts Only and Cocoon. With each release, he injects emotionally charged energy, combined with mesmerising beats and rhythmic arrangements. 

His unique sound has been featured in some of the most notable clubs, including Brooklyn Mirage NYC, Space Miami, and Hï Ibiza, as well as at world renowned festivals like Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Awakenings, and Time Warp.

Kevin’s vision for the future upholds his community focused ethos - to connect with as many people as possible through his music, to keep finding new ways to communicate his message and, ultimately, to stay true to himself.
