DJ Supermarkt came across this rare private press 7 Inch a long time ago, and since tried to locate the band to include the track on his Too Slow To Disco compilation series. After years he found bandleader Jeff Wollman, who gave TSTD permission to finally rerelease this funky space beauty for the first time on the new compilation TSTD 4.
The story could have ended here, but Jeff and DJ Supermarkt went one step further, and came up with the plan to give the track to a few selected producers for new versions/reworks. We contacted our favorite smooth space approved producers of today, and they all said “Yes” and we are super proud to now give you: The Reworks!

Guy Maxwell (bass), Larry Vann (drums), Jeff Wollman (keys), Kenn Peterson (guitar) and Tom Marken (vocals) gifted us a rather delicious spacey groover that feels as ready for the dance floor as it does the closing credits of a capable rom-com.

His music was covered by countless international stars, like The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey, Ringo Star, Natalie Cole, a.m.m. . Parisian producer DOCTORSOUL is a longtime TSTD collaborateur. These reworks for Michael Franks have been floating around the internet for some time, we are so proud to finally give them an official release!

Moi Je, en realité, is the Lyon-based L. De Lassablière. He is finally back with a new EP – ’Reviens’ – that’s more disco and funk than ever. He and a select bunch of close collaborators have crafted this new release with the act of dancing firmly in their sights. The essence of the Moi Je project is still there, with its French electronic influences blended with the warmth of Italian summer sunburns. It’s a signature, poetic sound that has evolved over years of experimentation and practice, now here in glorious high-fidelity. There’s a playfulness too, with lyrics and music combining in fresh new ways. His biggest success so far is his beautiful, warm, disco-ified remix of “On You” from 2016 for fellow Frenchman Kazy Lambist, which earned him a gold disc! The track hasn’t left our USB DJ stick since its release, and is guaranteed to get every sophisticated dance floor moving. (released on Delicieuse Musique Records)

Making waves in the independent music scene, Montreal-based artist Nicholas Cangiano has been deftly blending soul, funk, electronics and rock into a sound uniquely his own, producing a kind of dusty new pop. Flexing his range and unorthodox writing style, Cangiano has just released his much anticipated album “Have You Heard”, building on the momentum gained in the Montreal music scene over the past two years. He has received the Jurley Sound Recording grant from FACTOR Canada. Indie Shuffle praised him “NC’s ability to enter the flow state cuts through a world of straight lines and rules to produce a sound that's been honed to near perfection”. For us, ‘Falling Behind’ has never left our DJ sets and ears since it was released in 2023. What a tune!

Berlin producer Jack Tennis is the mastermind behind a lot of projects. He releases his own music under the name Hotlane (signed to Gomma Records) and spreads his Disco-Edits for UK’s influential Disco Label Midnight Riot (run by Yam Who!), Spa In Disco and Too SLow To Disco. He has an edit on every TSTD YACHT DISCO EDITS compiatlion so far, he was already part of TSTD EDITS 2 – Brasil with an edit, and last year he remixed SATIN JACKETS for TSTD NEO’s “The Sunset Manifesto” - compilation.
