I am spinning round inside the great forever
Knowing nothing, going nowhere, too.
But I’m thinking of your face — a brighter place and how it does me good.
I am sailing on a sea — no destination.
All seems lost until I think of you.

It was cold that night when I thought I’d die without your love.
And its your name I cry as I drop the veil of tears over my bloodshot eyes.

I walk in silence as I fast approach a stranger.
He’s knowing something, going somewhere, too.
Says he’s headed for a space — a brighter place that’ll surely do me good.
I feel at peace — relief— above all certain danger,
Totally consumed by thoughts of you.
Then he says “She’s gone, man. No sense, sorrow. Comfort, follow me, yeah.”

IT'S NOT THE COUNTRY ANYMORE

Live one take in response to Bob Dylan's poem 'Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie'. I called it "Last Thoughts" as a tribute, in fact my silly naive highschooler butt didn't even put together that he wrote "Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie" when Woody was in the hospital. You'd think the title would have clued me in but either way I was and probably still am that dense, and either way hope there'll never be any last anythings for Bob with all the good stuff.  Wishing him good health Mister Dylan, and strength. 

This song is kind of about reaching in the dark, finding strength in the words of strangers lighting the path a little further down the road.
